I know - disgusting!! It doesn't sit well with me. I eat meat and feed raw so I'm not against eating meat... but the stuff the dogs gets are leftovers - the duck necks and carcasses are left over from them stripping the breast for human consumption

I was on that facebook group too... very disturbing photos. I feed meat to my dogs but I wouldn't feed roadkill. I also don't get the point of everyone posting photo's of their dogs poo. They even had a poo photo contest on one of the raw feeding pages!

Such nice weather here the last few days it's been great cos i haven't been working until the evenings! Dog's are having great time and are currently panned out snoring/sun bathing! My niece is also my god child and I had her with me yesterday in the woods with Bruce and Nala. She is only 4 but has more cop on than most adults when it comes to dogs. Nala was swinng in the river and Bruce was on the bank with us, two girls ran over and started hugging him. My niece starts telling them that they shouldn't touch another dog without asking the owner! later on when i put Nala on the lead when I saw woman coming that I know doesn't like Nala my niece asked me why i told her the lady was scared of Nala because she was a big dog. Just as the lady was passing my niece starts saying to me that big dog's doesn't mean bold dog's and that the lady was silly cos Nala wouldn't hurt a fly!! :)

Took Roisin on her first walk today and she was the perfect pup! Although at one point Poppy crossed the road ahead of us with my OH and Roisin almost broke her heart about it.
Put the harness on her and you'd think she'd been wearing it all her life, wasn't fazed by the weird contraption around her.

Felix has finally made it back upstairs. As much as I love Poppy she can be a domineering little madam with the chaps and often ran at him when he went upstairs. She's only about a third of his size but she puts her head down and charges at him like a Rottie. She was meowing her little head off in the carrier while Mr P was waiting for a cab to take her to the vet on Monday.

As soon as she was gone he galloped up the stairs and had a nap in her room. Since then he's been sleeping most of the day up there. He's crashed out on my side of the bed now, I can't remember the last time he did that. My husband said he came up and woke him by, as he put it 'Felix and Jazzy bitch slapping each other on the bed' to get the other off.

The good weather's meant Poppy's been out in the back yard sunning herself so she's not guarding the top of the stairs and it's helping Felix settle down a bit. The only issue now is Toby loves to sleep on the landing so Felix has to pass him to get to the room he wants to sleep in so I've to supervise the growling howling and posturing, but not nearly as bad as it was.

My daughter made spag Bol for dinner, and served it to me with nothing but a cake fork to eat it! (Cos she forgot to put dishwasher on until she'd started cooking)

    It was delicious!
School hols are ok by me if I get home from work to this!

I'm very proud of my creamy this evening, he's normally very very antisocial when it comes to meeting new people. Everytime there is someone new in the house I do bring him out to meet them, just to try socialise him and let him see that no one is going to hurt him. When I bring him out I always hold onto him and just let people rub him when he's in my arms, but this evening we had relatives over from England and I brought him in and she took him out of my arms. I cringed thinking that he would freak and end up scratching her badly but he just sat there quite happily in her arms being rubbed! I was shocked and absolutely delighted that he's finally accepting people :D

Good luck :) I got my first one in sept 12 on the back of my shoulder, took less than half an hour. I never understood how they could be addictive til I got my first, I'd have gotten my second there and then if I could :P still haven't gone for my second, so indecisive on what I want and where I want it.

I wish I could be indecisive, I was so careful about choosing my first one but now they all seem to be impulses, but they mean something at the same time! I've my next one planned.. actually my next 3 planned but I don't know when or where I will get them :D

Mine is a portrait of my cat Johnny (he was born on my 14th birthday and I had a massive johnny depp crush ha!) who passed away a few years ago, I've wanted it for a while but couldn't find the funds or a suitable artist. It's his face with a top hat and Victorian dress to match his personality :) I have at least 5 others planned but they'll have to wait :(

Poppy got over excited after her breakfast when I was brushing her on my lap and threw up on my knee.

We got shouted at today by a runner - apparently Lucy was blocking their path and they couldn't run around us/slow down even though they were a good 5 meters away from us when they started shouting... "THE DOG WATCH THE DOG WATCH THE DOG FOR GODS SAKE" ... In funnier news Lucy found a turnip on the beach this morning and thought it was the most wonderful ball she ever had! :D

I went to change the bedlinen this morning but Jazzy was sprawled on our bed and he looked too cosy to disturb him. I tried again a few minutes ago but Poppy's there looking to snug to budge her off. It'll just have to wait.

We were on the beach last night and there was a bootcamp session starting just as we arrived, we didn't see where they went but previously most bootcamp sessions have been kept close enough to the car park end. However we walked about 3/4s way down the beach and turned to go up, our usual route is down the beach - up the dunes, so we went into the dunes and ended up right in the middle of a bootcamp "run":mad:. I had 3 greyhounds with me and they were pressed into my legs with fright at about 2 dozen men running towards them, so we had to retreat back and try and walk over the tops of the dune grass:mad:. No word of apology, nothing, they acted like I was the inconvenience.

I know the beach is a public amenity, but these guys had a big section marked off with poles and "motivators" - ie trainers shouting encouragement along the path through the dunes. It just so happened that the dogs I had with me were of a nervous disposition that don't react well to people shouting, and groups of people running towards them. I was well pissed off with it.

Well I was pissed off this morning - Lucy just got distracted for a second and stopped that was it. It's not like I had the two of them ahead of me on flexi leads etc. Naturally I pulled Lucy in but when she roared after she passed I shouted back at her to relax and didn't entertain her when she tried to engage me in a shouting match.

So my oh is away for the night in limerick so I was going to let the two dogs sleep in bed with me. Poppy was all for it, she loves having sleepovers in the people bed but wee Roisin on the other hand, after about ten minutes of people bed time just got up, jumped off the bed and got straight into her crate and lay down for sleep. Talk about a proud moment :P

I'd say Poppy is cursing her now though because I put her into her bed after Roisin went to hers :pac:

So embarrassed walking Tara today. We decided to head to UL so she could experience new smells.

Well it sounded like I was walking a pig, she snorted all the way round. barked and squealed at every dog that passed us.

On a positive note though she's stopped barking at every person that passes!

It seems like she has a problem with other dogs only when she's on the lead. Lots to work on this summer!!

Iv found a way of keeping both man and feline happy, cans of guinness :D Pour said man a pint of guinness out of a can, rinse out can, cut it open and wash little plastic ball (called a widget apparently!) and give it to said cat :p Man may require multiple repeats of step 1 to keep happy, cat is generally satisfied first time round :D

I have tattoo of a boy and girl cat in Victorian dress haha :)

So I'm not the only crazy person :D I'm getting it finished tomorrow afternoon, another hour and a half on my elbow :(

In other news I'm just back from the mini marathon, I raised over €200 for my local SPCA so I am well proud of myself even though I had hoped to raise more :) I have a heart condition so I could only walk/half jog but nothing hurts yet so that's a good sign :D I was surprised at how many dogs took pArt, they were so cute in their little charity T-shirts! I'll have to get Alli and Moone involved next year :D

I went to the big park this morning with the plan of keeping the dogs dry and clean because Lucy has a sore on her neck and I didn't want it getting mucky.. Well Lucy got brave - jumped down into the stream where they wouldn't usually go near and got herself stuck! The was a fallen tree and we were trying to get her to go under it so she could come out but she wouldn't move. I only had a harness on her because of the sore and no way of pulling her out. Eventually I sent Bailey down on the right side - he just stood waiting until she crossed under the tree to his side then they both jumped out! Covered in mud so had to hose them when I came back lol! Then this evening we had a nice walk on the south wall for a change - Bailey swam and got a stick out of the sea to an audience of on-lookers who thought he was amazing :p

Think I might end up in the vets tomorrow with Lucy - I thought it was a hot spot but no sure now. She has two small 'spots' that are a oozing a bit. I've been bathing it and spraying with disinfectant - looks fine and dry bit then a few hours later more puss... It's in the folds of skin at the front of her neck so not the easiest to keep dry. Luckily her baby socks have put her of scratching lol!! :p

Came across a dead Pug lying in the middle of the road this evening. Hardly a mark on her, poor thing, and it had only just happened. I cannot understand the mentality of drivers who hit a dog and keep on driving.

That's awful Boomerang, the poor little thing :(

Do you have any idea who might own the dog? Were there any houses nearby?
