I know very little about the games aswell. I havent gone out of my way to avoid them but purposefully havnt researched them. Its like when i started playing pokemon crater all over again (Man i loved crater). I never had a gameboy when i was younger but loved the tv show. Crater got me back into the game as well as showing me all the new pokemon. Still not sure which one i want yet

Can I ask if you go with the fire pokemon to begin with does it make it a little bit trickier in the early stages as was the case with the original incarnation?

No, it's fairly evenly matched:

The first gym has 3 leaders, grass fire and water. The gym leader you face will have the advantage over whatver starter you picked. So if you pick Tepig you'll fight the water gym leader. However, if you go to the right of the first town you'll find someone who gives you a monkey pokémon that will compliment your starter, so again if you picked Tepig, the person will give you a grass monkey which will be effective against the gym leader!

A Day? At this rate, that's a serious threat of Victini slippage. Hmmmm... if I skip my morning coffee and don't eat lunch I have just enough time to zip down to Smyths at 1pm on friday, get back to my desk and hide White under something manly, like a tricked out Honda Civic full of porn and uncooked steak.

Hmm...I was away last weekend and don't get paid until next Friday. I have €50 to my name. I could buy it now and not eat for a week or wait until the end of next week to get it. This could get tricky.

edit: gamestops site lists 45, smyths 40
anyone got any idea for xtravision/tesco?

Also anyone know whether they'll have the guide...not that i need it..:pac: but still nice to have

(Have the one for Red/Blue..and a gold/silver one...nothing in the last 9 or so years tho:cool:)

HMV will have it for 35 I think...

Smyths normally give you 10% with your loyalty card in the first week of release. So don't judge that 39.99 so harshly!

In GAME today, traded in 2 PS3 games, got 55quid. Ordered White online, thinking of buying Black if White doesent arrive.
Great moment in GAME.
Me " Eh, *cough how much will pokemone be?Cough*
Girl Behind Counter. "Eh around 40 quid, but for me it was FREE"
Then goes on to show me her DS with White in it, let me play it. I was happy leaving GAME, and made me extremly excited for tomorrow

Is anyone giving away pre-order gifts.I remember getting a stylus for pre ordering Pokemon Pearl but I missed out on a DS case with Pokemon Heart Gold.I pre ordered it in GAME cause i've a bomb of vouchers.Hope they have the Game Guide too.

Walker isn't programmed for the new Gen, afaik. Think that's more or less it. I'd say they might introduce a new Walker with the Gen V remakes of Ruby & Sapphire (if they happen).

Oh yeah, and Gamestation in the UK were giving out Isshu starter 'mon styluses. Nothin here
