latest I heard is 1st / 2nd week april, downstairs pool tables, upstairs sports bar.

Think will be called Kellys Lounge..

They don't seem to be doing much of a job promoting or advertising. No imformation about the place at all.

Can't see it be opening today seen it was painted alright, hope it will be a nice pub so handy to have a pub in walking distance from my house.

some places like a softly softly launch so that teething issues can be ironed out in the first few weeks before there is a big PR/promotional launch (flyers/adverts in local papers etc).

I wonder will they serve food/pub grub? Would be nice to have a place within walking distance to get a carvery/meat & 2 veg type meal at weekends or in the evenings if you don't fancy turning on the cooker or want the usual takeaway options that Ongar seems to have plenty of these days.
