The app is called "where M I". It looks quite nifty, handy if you are carry your fruit phone!

Thanks guys but neither of those are what I was talking about. PDF is very large so I've attached a pic of app info page

The TV coverage on Eurosport last year was comical. Just a camera showing the mid pack runners streaming by one by one for most of it. The helicopter couldnt fly due to the weather. I ended up heading out to Rathfarnam to watch the 5k instead.

i got around 20 seconds of coverage on it,that'll be as good as it'll ever get for me:)

    Only spotted this now

The couple on the front look way too fresh having supposedly just ran 42km :)

They certainly wouldn't have looked like that at the end of last year's run anyway :) I'd forgotten just how much splashing around was involved!

Is it too early to start speculating about this years weather - a repeat of last year would be OK?

^ Anything but a heatwave will do, those puddles seem like a blister waiting to happen.

Anyone joining me in the irish bar at 7am on race morning for the Russia Rugby WC game :D, a few will help calm the nerves!

It was a poxy day for the marathon alright but at least it kept the temperature down....I had 50euro tucked away in my runners and after the marathon it was like the worst fake ever.. I had some crack trying to persuade the vendors when looking to grab a beer that it was legit .. Eventually found a nice lady who was willing to take my word 4 it :D

    Whats the target boys ???

    menoscemo 3:09:59

More importantly have we agreed a place for beers? Is it a case of meeting in the 'beer area' at the finish line and picking a place for later?

Getting close now, can't wait. Going through last years thread earlier on, really got me psyched. Going to put my goal down as 3:29:59 but all going well on the day hoping for a bit better. Looking forward to the beers too, haven't drank in yonks so should be a cheap night :D. Hopefully all the boardsies end up in the same place!!

If you do the breakfast run is the finish in the Olympic Stadium far from the Expo?

They look to be nowhere near each other. Stadium is in the west while the expo is in the south.

It's my first sub 3 attempt but I'm going with the McMillan calculator to try and get under 2:50. Might as well aim high :) 4min kms, sure how hard could that be.

With 40,000 runners, I don't think any of us will be short of company:).

    Sounds good to me though.
Hoping to chat to some of ye guys on Sat anyway, at Expo maybe??

I'm on Sat morning flight with Mrs. Jb.

You should run together, it's a huge help and the miles fly by.

Meno and myself will be heading to the expo around 1-2pm i'd say, we'll PM you closer to the time. I'm sure a few of us will be going to an italian restaurant on the Sat evening too.

Speaking of that we should look into booking a restaurant for the evening before if there's interest??

Easier said than done.. The aid stations are only on one side of the road which for a big marathon is unusual.....They're a bit chaotic to say the least and ye could easily loose each other....
