    Great inferno yesterday.

Well run, fair groups and more than enough consoles to go round.

Even the final seemed more Hype than usual.

Can't wait for the next one.....

GGs to everyone yesterday, esp Stevo - Fear is the path to the dark side: fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to Guile.

Right, all vids are up, here's a playlist for sharing.

To be honest they're all good matches... couple of highlights and a selfish indulgence.

    Pro commentary

    Hound activates beast mode

    Accusations of mashing dog finals

    WARNING: EXTREME LAMENESS

... and commentators bickering like an old couple

Cobelcog is a GDLK commentator :D

I learned loads yesterday anyway with the recording set-up. Got the hang of it pretty quickly and only messed up the sound levels on one of the videos - one of the losers semis I think? Mixed up Dreddy & Doyler's mics so Dreddy's was far too low.

Other than that I think I did pretty okay but any feedback on sound levels is appreciated :)

Always make a similar mistake when Kiki is commentating.

From my experience I think the issue is actually the way Kiki was holding the mike, his voice sounds very weak. We live and learn.

    DID YOU HEAR THAT KIKI!!1!

Yeah it really sounds like the angle he was holding it at. People need to speak directly into the mike.

Neither of you'd know that though, as I said, live and learn :)

Dunno the full deal, will have to ask chopper but:

    1) Cog
    2) Hound
    3) Blag
    4) DooM
    5) Talant/??
    7) Onion/ ???

I'll get the full results up later.

Konata, it wasn't criticism, it was advise.

There were 31 in total, so the top three got slightly ripped off in their winnings because I forgot about the late entrant.

It'll see Dan €15 closer to being paid back for the monitors though.

In cases of 30+ players showing, would it not be better it use a World cup format? ie: Eight groups of four with the top two qualifying. This would make sense, as the seeds would have more relevance, control would be tighter, groups would finish quicker and it would negate the need for best loser/play-off situations. On top of that, the crisper format would mean that people who got out of the same group would not face each other again til much later in the competition(as opposed to 1 or 2 fights into the winners section, as often happens).

PS: I am aware that there were 31 players yesterday, but one of the groups could've used 3 players.

I will repost this when the inferno xvii thread comes out.

They also have very laggy TVs and don't want us running big tournaments there.
