3.3c now Irish ,temperature dropping, precipation looks more wintry indeed, not counting on anything though, ground is too wet to hold any snow that falls

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,516 ✭✭✭irish1967

Yeah. I'm about 1c behind you and dropping also. Agree with you entirely. 1. Would be surprised to even see snow
    2. Not a chance of it lying.

Irish1967, BBC weather predictive chart shows us all white at 6am.
Also if you look at met eireanns five day model, it shows us as green (which means for heavy precipation) from midnight onwards.

Im remember one day in February two years ago in Leitir Ceanainn I said the same thing when I started to see it snow , the ground was far too wet for any snow to stick (so I thought) The snow just kept falling and low and behold 6 or 7 inches later I was fairly proven wrong :D I was shocked how it could lie on such wet surface , I guess the temperature got cold enough for it to lie.

    P.S 1.9C now

3.1c with DP 2.8. Will be marginal. But temps and DP are falling fast. Each about 1.0 per hour.
