Question so on that note; What do you think is a good price (better than now I mean) to take a bet?

For the sake of argument, let's all assume we think Aldo will win.

7/4 eoukd be a good price imo
2/1 is huge, I'll be putting money on if it hits that.

Have to back Aldo over there at them odds .

I will also have a small stake on an underdog treble

    Romero , Rockhold and Aldo.

All the markets aren't up yet on PP but here's my main bet for 194:

    Nelson by TKO
    Jacare by sub
    Weidman by TKO
McGregor vs. Aldo over 2.5 rounds

I've thought about this one a lot, hope the prices are good.

Nelson by TKO is a fair risk IMO

I would have aldo done inside 2 also

I know Maia is notoriously hard to finish (only been knocked out once) which makes it somewhat of a risk, but he's coming up against another world class BJJ artist, and they will more than likely cancel each other out on the ground. It's no secret that Gunni is the better stand-up fighter, deceptively good for a submission machine. He knows it's highly unlikely he will tap Maia, he needs to win this by TKO I reckon.

It's definitely the selection I'm least confident in of the four, but I'm set on it and the value should be pretty good.

Conor vs. Aldo has the potential to be a war. I don't see either man being finished quickly here, two great chins.

I'd agree Weidman,Anderson and Rory couldn't knock him out doubt Gunni will either don't get me wrong I think striking could be key for Gunni but a stoppage due to strikes I don't see.

Gunni last stopped someone by strikes in 08,Maia not on the receiving end of a KO since 09 so yeah risky.

Good analysis, i shoulda backed up my point with all that!

Hes a great wrestler but ya dont want to be taking down Jacare,I know he hits hard but I think souza is the better fighter with a better gas tank.

The main event is 29/20 to not go the distance. Having that

Two tough durable guys, wouldn't risk it myself

Seo Hee Ham v Cortney Casey Sanchez
Cortney Casey Sanchez To Win By Decision or Technical Decision
    (Method of Victory - Match)
    Odds: 7/4 (betv)

saver on casey round one 4/1

cant pull the trigger on the bendo/dong/casey treble for some reason 6/4 (casey maybe)

she did well early on v calderwood having taken that fight at short notice iirc

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 7,269 ✭✭✭Gamebred

A Bendo Submission would worry me if he gets Jorge down but I see a 5 rd kick boxing point scoring kind of bout.

As Masvidal is coming off 2 weeks notice and has only gone past the third round once, that was the deciding factor for me. Plus Bendo needs a finish

He was only in one 5 round fight and went the distance against a tough giblert, he's a tough durable lad. There's videos of him Street fighting on Kimbo slice backyard brawls, and the way bendo fights the finish from either just doesn't fill me with confidence.

    bendo decision 6/5 boyles

thought that might have been a shade of odds on so taking that price

First shift in Aldo's price since the markets open (I believe). He's gone down to 2.38

Paddies have an Aldo double chance. TKO/KO or Points @3.3

    What am I missing here?

I'm not sure, because that's a ridiculous bet.

Must be a lot of home money on McGregor and they're trying to balance the books by getting some on Aldo?

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,197 ✭✭✭maximoose

That seems too good to be true alright, wasn't planning to bet much (if anything) on the main event but think I'll have a little nibble at those odds.

works out marginally better than backing aldo pts+ko at 11/2+21/4
well worth taking when next best is 7/4
