Norman Parke by KO @ 5/1
Wendell Oliveira by KO @ 21/10
Ryan Jimmo on Points @ 13/8
    K.J. Noons on Points @ 13/5
Charles Oliveira by Submission @ 8/5
Carlos Condit by Submission @ 4/1

hard to see if he will even hit evens, my own opinion would be no
that fact that conor is as short as 4/5 with one bookie amazes me though

be interesting to hear what others think

Possibly in the last week or two before the fight when a lot of money will be gambled but i can't see it lasting long tbh. I think the betting lines won't sway that much between now and then. Then again Aldo could well get a lot shorter in price during fight week...

Im hoping Aldo reaches evens at least because I want to lump on, If he hits evens I will...

Added this low stake big odds (70/1) accumulator for interests sake, hopefully we have an upset or two tonight!

    Mirsad Bektic @ 2/9
    Juliana Lima @ 10/21
    Tom Breese @ 10/17
    Carlos Condit @ 3/10
    Jussier Formiga @ 4/5
    Francimar Barroso @ 9/4
    Nik Lentz @ 9/4

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,795 ✭✭✭dulux99

I personally think Nik Lentz is a crazy price at 9/4. Going big on a single

Decent start on the singles. Going Dalby on pts in the next.

    Took Wendle and Parke,
Want to take all 3 Oliveria's in a treble but wouldn't let me for some reason.

    Dodged a bullet there

Charles Oliveira & Carlos Condit double is the one bet for the night.

He's 4/5 or 5/6 with 6 or 7 bookies. And they all have Aldo at evens. They couldn't have Conor that short and still have Aldo <evens.

betfair have conor at 4/5 using oddschecker who have it wrong with the site showing aldo at 1.94 which isnt best factoring in the commission
    http://www.oddschecker.com/ufc-mma/jose-aldo-v-conor-mcgregor/winner

best on aldo currently is 10/11, ive yet to see bigger and would be surprised
    if aldo hit evens myself

He was showing as evens for me last night on oddschecker mobile site. Was prob a mistake as the mobile site is pants.

But Aldo has been as high as 2.04 on betfair. I have money on at 2.0

boetsch v hendo at the weekend
big step down compared to who's hes been fighting in boetsch but could still
    see tim knocking out dan
few pricing it up yet and 11/10 the only price available

figure one of these is probably going to sleep

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,134 ✭✭✭✭Mellor

Can't see it going the distance.
Hendo is the underdog on 5dimes, most bookies take a lead from there
Under 1.5 rds coming up the favourite too

    It's a lot shorter with 5dimes, I've a feeling it's about to move south.

Nice 5-fold for the weekend, Mitrione, Poirier, Ortega, Abreu and Sote...pays about 12/1 and its in with a good shout by my reckoning.

5 on Rothwell, Medeiros and Rivera - Pays back 63
1 on Rothwell, Medeiros and Henderson - Pays back 19
1.3 on Rothwell, Medeiros and Jordan - Pays back 17.4

Hinging everything on Rothwell & Medeiros tonight :)

Rothwell's odds are generous for sure, can't comment on Medeiros as I've never seen him fight.

Going with Soto, Poirier, Mitrione and Hendo fiver returns €47

He's a big LW, also came in a few pounds over but didn't kill himself trying to make weight - went to Dustins room beforehand and apologised in person stating he'd miss weight.

Trains with the Diaz bros so I'd hope his cardio is ok and I'm gunning on Dustin has a bit of an adrenaline dump with it being his hometown. That and Medeiros apparently hits hard and Dustin is quite susceptible to being hit...

Trying to convince myself here :)

    went with singles on these

under 1.5 rounds in hendo boetsch 5/4

poirier ko 5/2 banking on poirier to put on a show here (or get flattened)

soto sub 5/1(Betv) like this one and next best 10/3
most of his wins have been by sub so think this is value
double of both also at 20/1

    accum at 87/1
    soto sub
    poirier ko
    boetsch
under 1.5 rounds in lewis jordan at 1/2 looks a safe one...lol
    under 1.5 in mitrione rothwell

    Just one bet this time.....

Poirier, Rothwell, Hendo all by ko.

    €10 pays €540.

In fairness, when you're constantly betting on long shots you can't really be saying you have no luck.

That's only from the bets I've seen you post on here of course, you probably do other bets that you don't post.

I know people bet on accumulators for fun but singles in mma are just as much fun really.

Ah no I always do a few other bets for every event. I only post one or two here though. I usually have a few winners but I rarely have any luck with the long shots.
In saying that, the treble I posted here last night wasn't exactly a long shot. It had a good chance of coming in.

54/1 is a long shot no matter what way you dress it up! :D

Yeah, he was hanging with Faber up until the eye poke! Damn Mederios, that's the last time I bet on someone who misses weight.

    Just for example.

An equivalent bet would be Ukraine winning the next World Cup, Tottenham winning the next Premier League, Everton being relegated.

Of course it can happen though.

54/1 is the equivalent of a 1.75% chance of the result happening.

    What??

I'm not a seasoned gambler but I have a decent enough grasp on betting to know that your example is FAR from an equivalent bet. I had a 53/1 treble on. It wasn't a 53/1 longshot single.
I felt it had a good chance of coming in and it very nearly did. Yes it had pretty long odds but it wasn't miles off the realms of possibility like your example.
