Actually saying that I did lie. I'm about 5'9"1/2...as opposed to 5'9". Got measured at the gym the other day That extra half IS important!

I'm exactly 162cm, which is the minimum height to serve in the defence forces.

I like to stand in front of barracks entrances holding a sign- "you must be this height or more to be a soldier here."

And females over 6ft don't count?
Also the mean age of boards is probably significantly lower than that of the general population and the population as a whole is getting taller, therefore the percentage of people over 6 foot might be higher.

I definitely agree with the population getting taller.

I went back to college last year and some of the girls in my class are my height and taller than me and I'm 5 10. I used to always be the tallest girl in the class.

I always notice if girls are taller than me because it's quite rare! It actually unnerves me a little bit, I'm used to looking down at people, not up!
