Woegus wind and rain here . Got a phone call awhile ago to say a 4' plank took flight off a small piece of scaffold we had up , very lucky as it was right beside office blocks but the wind carried it into a lads garden .

Burning up, 27° light wind, heading very quickly heading towards drought. Cows going backwards down 1200 litres per day, depressing altogether.

If it doesn't break shortly will lads start drying-off/culling, guessing supplementing the cows with bought-in feed is out the window due to milk price

wind took gate between house and yard off last night... father had welded a hanger for it... weld was useless.

Sleet this evening and windy enough,

Just in door from Bangor earlier. Was a real blizzard on the road as we left Belfast.

Here in Cavan it's cold with occasional snow showers. Ground half white at the moment.

Got the cows back up to normal but feeding twice the pasture to do it. Boss is away on holiday so he'll have to make the call when he gets back. Herd test in a fortnight so I'd suggest making the cull and get rid then if things stay hot. Bought in supplements out of the question and we only have round bales for feeding during lactation. I'd cull hard too, take the hit when there's crap all profit for the remainder of season with the payout. Boss gonna be ripping no matter what lol.

20° still light wind but nice to have a lot of cloud cover

Trying to watch "Spiral" on BBC3 there, fupping dish must have moved. Up a ladder adjusting it, and its a mixture of rain and slobbery snow at the moment, horrible night.

What's mizzley? I never heard the term.
Is it a cross between mist and drizzle?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,506 ✭✭✭Dawggone

    Cloudy with southern breeze.

Mizzley rain is very very slightly heavier than smurring rain.
