patience is needed, these showers should get stronger and head further south through the country as the night progresses

next snow shower just heading towards galway to the east of the city, last one deposited almost 1cm

Still nothing out the west side of the city since the earlier dusting, and I'm even high enough towards Tonabrucky.

Bit of a disaster considering how much things were built up, still barely an inch here. Northern Ireland seems to be getting the brunt of it

Same down here Harps. Guess we can only hope that some proper stuff falls during the night. If the grauple that has fallen was snow we would have been on target for a great snowfall.

No I haven't the foggiest about the weather (no pun intended):o and I'm not going to learn the charts now because they seem to keep changing and every media outlet is reporting different things.

Were MTs accumalations affected by these downgrades? Are these crazy snowstorms going to come or has it been severly downgraded and will never reach the heighst the hype was building up to?

All I know is it snowed lightly all day in Donegal. Heavily and is setting in the North east and the west and a few isolated showers elsewhere. Is there something coming for the east or does anybody know whats going on anymore?!
if you take a look here you can see what's coming

    http://www.raintoday.co.uk/

most of the forecasts gave accumulations for overnight so nothing has changed....for now :)

Lake Eerie, USA. The wind blew water onto a light house and it froze...

Never seen anything like it ..

Yeah it would actually be an epic snowfall if things went right. Its barely stopped here for the past 5 hours, only 10-15 minutes breaks at most and its heavy most of the time. Would have given a good 6 inches so far I'd imagine

To be fair though its finally starting to accumulate here now, looks like a blanket instead of just a dusting. Must be about 2 inches and its extremely heavy right now. Finally seeing some decent sized flakes as well so maybe all is not lost :pac:
