Snowing nice and steady here for the past hour or so at least. Really nice big flakes too.

I was only expecting wet snow / sleet at best. Great surprise.

Looks like the southern edge of the northern band is taking the M/N4 to Dublin. The city centre might get the tail end that stretches west too.

All we got in castlebar was sleet and rain since 5am, thats on top of last friday/saturdays 5-10cm of snow and hard frost all week. Has stopped now and the sun is trying to come out!

I think we must have been right along the marginal line as I hear they got a few inches of snow 20miles north east in Swinford and the temps on IWN would suggest I am in the marginal zone too!

My earlier snow has turned to freezing rain! Apparently Blarney itself is treacherous... Does anybody know what the mallow road is like? or fagg*t hill? If one had to drive somehwere should they wait or are the roads getting worse?
