You're not required to be given the product at the full price under law. The website is an invitation to treat, not constituting an offer of sale.

However I'd avise asking for a manager and quoting the Consumer Information Act, 1978 which states that false or misleading advertising is an offence. The current fine is €3,000. That should get them in the mood to let you off the €100.

I have one waiting for delivery to store, I rang them as email said it would be there today. The girl said should be on 08/12 so will give a ring wednesday and hopefully it will be in.

Unsure if this one will work out for me.

Got a reservation number from another user that expires this evening for tralee.
Was told the Netbook hasnt arrived when I went in.
They extended the reservation till the 15th and said try again the end of the week,
Not very optimistic but will keep trying

I'm sorry to hear that. By now they might well have found out that there is a problem with the price and stopped the supply. As Ghost Train already speculated in post #2 it very likely is a misprice, because at €75 off (instead of €175) it would be only slightly cheaper than the red and black variants, but still a good bit more expensive than the older single core netbooks of the same type. If you check here it becomes pretty clear that there must be something wrong with the pricing (note that only that first two and the last one in the list are dual core). But at least some people seem to have been lucky enough to get one at a good price. Good luck to the others.

LV told me today it would 225 and check back morrow. reservation from last tuesday.

Wish I could understand how this all works. Have checked a load of stores on Argos site and all show out of stock. Rang Argos West End Blanch earlier and the woman checked system. She said system said none in stock anywhere and due to come in anywhere in the near future. Does anyone work in Argos on here? Is it maybe the case when they're all pre-reserved that they don't show up as "stock due in"? When I called them last week they just said chance your arm the day they're due in, go to a store and you might be able to get one anyway! Does a reservation code mean a unit is set aside for you? You'd think Argos would be happier to release it to someone waving cash at them rather than someone who books it and may or may not show up....

If you go into store and type in code into their computer thing it tells you you should be able to reserve it at the counter so I'm guessing that's what some have done?

At least that what I think it said last week but like you i'm not 100% sure how it works
