Couple of heavy snow showers this afternoon in north-east county Galway, about half an inch or so fell. Very large flakes, the real thing. We've already had more than all of last winter around here :D

Driving home from Galway city earlier, only sleet for around 20 miles, then suddenly I hit a white out, made driving quiet difficult.

A few more showers tonight and if it freezes later on, the roads will be lethal.

Snowing here now in Donegal Town... light but the nicest snow shower yet.

Another shower here now ,seems to be more Graupel than snow though, still the place is turning white.

The last shower here was graupel for the first 5 minutes then changed to really heavy snow. The graupel sticks better so its a good base for the snow!

No shower here now in a while, still about half an hour away judging by raintoday and the stuff from the last one has melted again in places but its sticking in other places and the footpaths and roofs are all white. Hopfully gets the chance to freeze now with the clear skies
