Mine was only 5/6 can't remember but wasn't 25. Seems to enter matches alot quicker :)

The patch was 6MB on XBL. Vast improvement on match-making and sound since installing it.

Would I be right in thinking that it's the biggest selling cross-platform game on the market this year? Or would Red Dead/Fifa be ahead of it?

Either way, I would assume for such a massive game, the brands involved would have it in their best interest to try to ensure it didn't have huge launch problems. Fair enough if I was complaining about JoeBloggsShooter game that 20 people are going to buy, but when you get into Millions of sales, I'd have thought all the companies involved would have been working closely enough together to try to ensure as smooth a launch as possible.

Maybe I'm wrong in that though, and I've no idea what problems there are. I haven't a clue if it's unplayable bad, or just frustrating bad etc. Also, that's not a dig at Sony totally, as Activision are possibly as much to blame.

    Guess this answers my question.

    http://www.cnbc.com/id/40253763

New 'Call of Duty' Continues to Shred Sales Records

Activision’s latest “Call of Duty” game continues to set records for the company. The video game publisher announced Thursday that in its first five days on store shelves, “Call of Duty: Black Ops” has generated sales of $650 million.

That’s $100 million better than last year’s “Modern Warfare 2,” which set a new bar for the video game industry — as well as the entertainment industry at large. Activision claims the opening is the biggest ever for any movie, book or video game.

It’s the second record in a week for the game, which raked in $360 million in its first 24 hours on sale, moving 5.6 million copies. With those numbers, “Call of Duty” has become one of the top entertainment properties of all time and this latest installment is now expected to generate over $1 billion in retail sales worldwide over the holiday period.

So in addition to the fabulous patch last night that fixed Party lobby problems, matchmaking issues and noise levels, they're also releasing this today to fix the spawn system.

I've gotta say, I'm getting pretty close to exhibiting serious Treyarc Fanboyism here. They are doing a fabulous job at fixing the problems in the game at a super fast rate. Serious hats off to them if they've nailed this last issue in under 2 weeks.:)

There are suggestions that the knife lunge issue was explained by Treyarc to be actually a lag issue, so they're keeping an eye on it to see if yesterday's update actually fixed the lunge issue too. If not, they've something lined up for that it.

Also, I'm delighted to hear anyone who attempts to Prestige glitch in Combat Training, will lose everything, go back to level 1, but don't prestige!! :D:D:D

:O so thats how shammy did it . shammy you can either :
    a) admit you glitched it
    b) fight it and prove beyond doubt you are some sick terminator-ish cod playing machine

ps shaw i was waiting for that 3rd fabulous to smack you with the gay stamp but far as i can tell you only used it twice

I do like that they're actually responding to the community and pushing hotfixes and patches through so quickly. The knifing range was a bit anoying idd.

IW would have taken months to put out these sort of patches.

    that's a laughable statement tbh

in the last 10 mins iv had to restart my ps3 twice , lag issues still, host migration, transmission errors, friends getting kicked from party etc etc

I honestly cant see how it has "worked a treat"

I reckon treyarch just hate ps3 owners and driving them to suicide

In fairness the more you play the game the more obvious the lack of a simple beta test online could of fixed a lot of the stuff here. As I said before mine is fine but I'm starting to see what a lot of poeple are complaining about. More so a half arsed cross code by Treyarch has caused all these problems.

    +1

It was fairly shocking earlier on for a good spell earlier on. Hit with lag, match making fails, host migration fails.. all in one go.

In terms of "fixing" things, this patch seems to have gone backwards rather than forwards for the xbox 360. I never really had a problem with the connection before the patch but now every second game seems to lag for me!:(

For some of us on the ps3 its very frustrating , in my case i dont have lag issues or problems getting kicked out of party's , just that damn frame rate drop.
The patch hasnt worked for us

Really think I'll get an xbox next time round.

Nothing but problems on the PS3.

Now that I have a headset the 360 can be as loud as it wants :pac:
