The problem with manufacturing coffee is that once exposed to the oxygen that it starts to lose it's freshness from the roast. Unless you make it in small bags then you're really going to have to make it for commerical use instead which there are a few.

If you ever see a bag of coffee that looks like the air has been sucked out of it(looks vacuum packed), then do not buy it, it is not fresh.

They're in Newport now, including the roastery.

Eircode is V94 so they're clinging onto the local area :D

Just to give another thumbs up to Fika Coffee, called in this morning and tried their filter coffee of the day or "batch brew" as they called it, a roast from Bean in Dingle.
Was really impressed, great coffee and a lovely shop.
    Hopefully they do well!!!

I think they closed their operation in Annacotty when they opened their new place in Newport, Co. Tipperary.

I see there are a few big chains in the US and other countries called Fika but not sure if they are related as all have different branding and Fika Limerick is a registered company with a HO address in Corbally

Good to hear. With the news of the vaccine, they must all be expecting a return to normal next year!

I doubt the vaccine has anything to do with it. They didn't all just decide to start these works Monday evening after the announcement.

Despite all the scare mongering about passing trade that's now because the most lucrative part of town to be. Much better than that kip William St. next to it. Hopefully the expand it more and we can have a nice little area for people like round Plunkett St. in Cork
