You are nearly up to last years annual total! I dunno, whoever started you on this running lark has a lot to answer for!

The target at the beginning of the year was sub 1.40, I'll be aiming for 1.37, just keeping the pace under 7.30s. And yourself?

Seriously though, it's a big ask so I'm not going to advertise it, then crash and burn!

If you do that you'll deprive Brian and Meno of a bet!

I'm sure they have at least four other bets going on anyway
So what was their bet - the time you'll target?

No bet in place, except between myself and Brian but you know those 2!

Don't worry, we all know Mr Slow's target for the half. He advertised it enough in Brian's log/ Smackdown thread. Sub 1'33 I believe?

First day of school! Took the week off so I can drop the kids in each day (youngest is just starting junior infants) and do some redecorating. Wore my running gear under my clothes so I could strip off and run home from the school. Legs felt pretty tired, and I was going to stick to the 6.00 pace all the way, but gave myself a kick after about 11k and ran the rest in under 5.30.

I think you have that won :)
All that running on holiday got it for you - when I went on holiday I left the runners at home :pac:

Easy run up to the park, then stopped for a bit of a stretch and restarted the watch...
    24.88 in 2.10.59 (5.16 average)
20k at marathon pace(5.00) average, followed by a slow jog back home. The marathon paced run went okay - not easy by any means, but I never doubted I'd be able to get through it. Ran 11k from near the zoo, more or less along the half route and up Acres Road back to basically where I started. Got a bottle of water from the shop behind the zoo and took a gel, then set off on the same route, this time going through the s-bends and finishing just after the run down Military.
This was one of my key indicator sessions for the marathon - the remaining two are the half and the other PMP run next month - so I'm glad it went okay. Hips are very stiff now, but a recovery week should see me right.

    Club session
    2k warmup
3 x the 1350m hilly route, with a couple of minutes recovery
    2k cooldown

Took the hills easy today, pace between 4.30 and 4.40. Calves were feeling a bit tight from the weekend, and between running and DIY I've been a bit tired. This is supposed to be a recovery week anyway...

The time was 1:33:30 i believe. I've won 2 out of 2 so far :) I love the way he's keeping his training a secret to keep us all guessing.

Well if I knew the pace you were hitting your tempo's at i'd have a better idea. If your thinking of a time like that, you should be well under 3:30 in the DCM, sub 3:20 even.

no run yesterday  too much DIY

    today, 14.06 in 1.20.35 (5.44 pace)

run home from work - took the road up through Clonskeagh, practising that bit of the marathon route again, but skipped the loops of Bushy Park that I usually make to increase the distance. Runners felt a little flat at the beginning of the run, but fine after a few minutes. They should only have a couple of hundred miles on them, so I had assumed they'd see me through the marathon
