Wait, no. Wasn't he in the battle royal that Swagger won? Cause I remember thinking he was there but he never came back out when everyone was expecting him to.

Also just realised I'll probably get to see AmDrag now :D Hope him and Punk are feuding then and have a cracker of a match.

According to the Sun, William Regal is retiring from the ring so there's a good chance we won't see him on this tour. It's a shame. The last time he was in Dublin, you could tell he was having the time of his life on the mic. He couldn't wipe the smile and look of enjoyment off his face.

That said, Santino wasn't at the last Raw, was he? I remember being annoyed...

I always thought that he was sat at ringside during the Raw show, as some kind of agent or something, and then grandmaster posted this pic of Regal, and I still think it was Santino at ringside but it was never confirmed by anyone here sat at ringside.

I hope Sheamus is still on Raw by then. He got a great reception the last time and I have to admit, it was one of the best nights fun I ever had.

The last Raw show was amazing. Sheamus v Cena and Cena got booed out of the building the likes of which you've never heard before. It was actually a very good match as well, not some phone it in 5 minute job. Cena won but gave Sheamus the belt to celebrate with and Sheamus did a face promo at the end and was leading the crowd in a "You'll never beat the Irish" chant. It was f*****g brilliant.

I've also put my original ticket for sale on eBay seeing I got Row 2 a bit later :D

I've found it varies unfortunatly. Sometimes its amazing, sometimes the shows are dead. :/
Alas, i also find that more and more "smarks" are not going, meaning the chants tend to be a tad obvious and boring :/

Im pretty sure they take off the bottle lids because when a bottle has a lid on it, its a lot easier to slip and fall on, but if the lid is off, you won't fall if u stand on it. Health and safety.

I thought the atmosphere at the last Raw show wasn't great until the Sheamus/Cena main event.

And hardly anyone paid attention to my "CENA IS BABYFACE, DONT BOO" sign :D

More than that, you can't launch one at any real force without a lid.

    this isnt the reason

this is! Full bottles with a lid on is lethal if thrown!

Agreed, in theory. However a full bottle will have a fair weight behind it regardless and if people got so inclined to throw stuff, they'd find more damaging materials.
They also took my umbrella off me last time as well :/ Lost it in the shufle afterwards but got a far nicer one in the process...

The security can be a bit strict but if you're anyway sensible, you won't have any trouble.

I was at the Raw and SD shows at the O2 the last time they were here and one guy sitting in the front row decided for some reason to throw his drinks holder over the railing onto the area outside the ring. The security came over and I thought he got escorted out of the building completely but after a while I seen him and his mate up in the cheap seats, so I guess they got sent up there.

I remember once, someone seemed to throw popcorn at CM Punk. He just calmly waved them goodbye as security yanked them out. T'was funny.

Whats this about bottles? Was there a bottle throwing incident before or something?

I doubt it, it's just a common regulation, bottles with lids havn't been allowed into football stadiums for years, I guess they are also following suit at arenas now too.

Some people will always find something to throw into the ring though

Does anyone remember when the wwe first came back when the o2 had been reopened?

Some guy on the tiered side of the entrance punched (i think it was) jericho in the back?

    got hoofed right out?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,435 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

I'm sure heels adore when someone tries something like that though. Obviously they don't want anything too dangerous but it's insta-heat when it's only some food or a weak ass punch followed by an ejection...

Yeah, I was right behind that guy. What an idiot. That said, it did free up some nice space at the front!

Is the merchandise expensive at the shows?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,169 ✭✭✭jmolloy

20-30 for t-shirts in my experience, bout 10 for a programme and 8-10 for stuff like wristbands. It's reasonable and better than going on euroshop cos it is the up to date stuff

Not sure if it's illegal or not, but there were guys outside the arena selling t-shirts and Rey masks.

It's likely it was fake merchandise though, so personally I would prefer spending a couple extra quid for the official stuff inside the arena, and at least you know a percentage of your cash is going to the superstar too.
