My CNN always breaks up when it’s raining outside or any bit of wind. It’s the only channel it happens to

Mine too, happens to 505, CNBC too.

CNN HD is unwatchable here all the time now regardless of the weather, I never really noticed an issue with it before when it was raining.

Not possible to tune it in on my free to air satellite system

There is some evangelist channel going up FTA in HD soon. It's called LoveWorld HD.

The frequency for this channel is 11611 23000 H 2/3. The SID for it is 55405.

Also; I want to know what is going on with a channel with the SID 7100. It is still blank on my FTA receiver.

Similar issue with poor reception CNN HD (FTA) Occurred just this week.

Sig quality fine & you can confirm Feq settings etc are good, see atach.

Skew markings read 1 to 5,see attch, assuming these are the degrees.
Gradually rotating from 1 to 5 makes no improvement. thoughts ?

King of Sat reports "Switched standard" on 2019-08-08. ??

Amiko Mini combo extra, all other channels stable.

Seems to have occured after freq update 2019-08-08. I see all the traffic here re CNN started on that date.

Interesting . I'l await further input here before deleting and re scanning next week.

Just wondering ...... why is the aspect ratio showing as 4:3 if the channel is HD then should it not show in 16:9?

Further to the changes that upset Quest HD, Freesports HD and France 24HD
TP changes on 11426 V 29500, 8/9, DVB-S2, QPSK seems to be so they can accommodate S4C HD which is now testing as 52565
(useful for rugby or so I'm told ;) )
Info thanks to Digi man on DS

Is S4C not in HD already? It is on freesat.

    Changing to DVB-S2 presumably.

Yes it is already available, but this may be an upcoming TP change.

S4C has gone DVB S2 so that's another channel my box can't deal with.

Using an Amiko mini combo, will I have to change my box to pick up these DVB S2 channels?

    Thanks

Should already be DVB-S2 - it's been around for years so you are probably already picking them up

Thanks fritzelly, I'll try a rescan and see what happens. Should I be able to pick up Freesports and Quest as well?

Yes just manually tune in for that transponder. There are 4 channels on it.

    DVB-S2 11426 V 29500 QPSK

Is anyone having trouble tuning in these on a standard SkyHD box? If I tune these channels in on Other Channels I get a no signal received message. However the versions of France 24HD and Quest HD on the EPG are perfect. I've also checked the signal strength/quality of this transponder in the installer menu and it's pretty good. So have Sky found some way to block HD FTA services to other channels? I remember the same problem with BBC Wales HD as well.
