Welcome back 😀 hopefully it won't be too much longer before I can put an end to this story 🙄 maybe when she is done I will have her blown up in the next James Bond movie and that will be that, depending on how many pieces she is in 😉😁

At last a bit of dry weather

managed to get her flipped back up and started to clean up the side panels, the black marks are from metal and go deep into the wood "you see this alot around screws or nails" it can't be sanded out but "bar keepers friend " dose a good job of removing it, I just make a paste and put it on for a few minutes then wash it off. Weather back to normal now 🙄

Stained the sides and center board with Grain Guard black ebony then sealed it with WEST SYSTEM Epoxy leveled it off and gave it 3 coats of Epifanes pp vernis extra, I'm not going to varnish it till I'm finished climbing in and out of her but she should be sealed and protected now.

I left a few of the black marks "war wounds"

It's turning out to be a bit of a long story alright 😀 some of your babies are starting secondary school and some have been through college.😁

But one thing we've see consistently over that time is that your track record on getting the job done is 100% and whether it's 2025 or beyond when you recreate this picture isn't what matters.

It's been a while not really much to show just lots of little things and a 10x16 pottering shed

new seacock, fuel tap, fuel water separator fuel pump and bilge pump. Painted the inside with hempel bilge paint, the hardest part of that job for me was opening the bloody tin,

I also have a few more coats of epifanes pp on will probably do another 4 or 5 before I start varnishing. Till the next time.

The boat is coming along beautifully.

Nice job on the "pottering" shed with an interesting choice of cladding. Have you felt or some sort of moisture barrier inside and any plans to insulate it as I'm thinking condensation might become an issue?

I got the cladding cheep and that made the choice 😁 I will give it the winter and see how bad it gets and if its bad I will use insulation, I have a 5k diesel heater so at least I will be toasty 😀

Ha, I've actually started building a CPS5 drone (the green part hanging off the boat in the video thumbnail). I'll report back in due course how well (/if!) it works.

Looks a bit like my powerray, I don't think I could send a few grands worth of equipment out on the lake on its own if its not stolen it would hit by a cruiser 🙂

Engine in always a bit nervous hanging this weight over her and dropping it in by turning the little screw on the jack 😬 she is back under the cover for the winter. The engine and gearbox came in at 408kg.

Hi @fergal.b, hope you're all keeping well. Nosey parker here was wondering how you and your boat were getting on?

Just waiting for warmer weather to get a few more coats of varnish on her, all the parts are ready to be put back on so it's in the hands of the God's now 🙂

With the weather getting a bit warmer I'm slowly getting back at it, engine plumed back up and yes that is an old paint tray I use what I find 😀 also cleaned up the old seat supports.

If you told anyone who hadn't been around the whole time that that boat had been under water for over 7 years they'd think it's a tall tale.
