    Brightened up in Castlebar for an hour around 5,but boy did it set of a shower.it started around 6.15-torrential rain and lasted for a full hour,and still raining.result-Castlebar To Westport road impassable in places,roads in Castlebar impassable as well as Dunnes Stores in the town closed due to flooding!!

    Heavy and humid here. Heavy & large rain drops - has a real 'precursor to thunder' feel about it.

    A very nice evening. Though theres still convection going on - I just watched a cloud grow very rapidly into a tower to my north-east in about a 15 min period.

    Nice evening with sunny spells but breezy and a little cool for July, Temp 15.8c. Just to add a few stats to yesterdays and last nights rain. Had 21.8mm of rain in the last 24 hrs and a total of 63.9mm since July 8th.
