Heard jerry Kiernan on newstalk talking about Cragg running a 7:42 3k last week, did anyone get results of the race or where was it?

Think he was mixed up with Craggs 7.44 the week before as no where has this (incudling the seasons list from the EAA)

I was hoping to put an accumulator together for the week but by the looks of it, odds aren't freely available for the majority of the events (granted just checking on Ladbrokes, PP and Boylesports)

I say they will hopefully post them by the end of the day though you could be looking at a day by day situation with PP

Why are AAI reporting this as an Irish Record if it was on a downhill course?

    Because they are idiots???

Not an NR but still an excellent performance. Career getting back on track after he was was crushed by his perfomance at Euro Cross.

I think he was put under too much pressure here. He had a very long cross country season in the states in the build up to this and i think it was just one race too much. He has a good set up and quietly working away in Flagstaff out of the eye of the public and it seems to suit him

    Start lists for tomorrow: http://www.sportresult.com/sports/la/ajax/eaa2.asp?event_id=10000100000118

Poor lane draws for Carey and Kinney in 400mh, but Furlong got lane 5.

If someone feels like setting up a new thread to be stickied for the duration of the champs, then I'd be grateful. If not, I'll do it after work. :o

Absolutely true. It was mainly self imposed pressure. Both Andrew and Mary Cullen were aware of their capabilities on home soil and both let it get to them unfortunately.

I used to compete against Ledwith back when we were juveniles and juniors. He's a tough man when it comes down to it. I believe the marathon is his distance and he's a potential 2.10 man.

Given his set up at Flagstaff with the likes of Fagan and McMillan nearby he could link up with them in the no to distant future

I;d probably need 33/1 to back Cragg in a win only market.

I don't think he can beat Farah or Bezebah in either a fast race or off a kick. He is a bronze medal threat in the right race though.
