Painted toenails getting males attention

Slightly off-topic - dunno if anyone else has had this reaction, but if I paint my finger/toe nails black I sometimes get asked if I'm a goth or an emo by guys (which is especially strange because the way I dress contradicts that idea - black is just another colour imo, not a statement of what 'tribe' I belong to!)

Yep, definitely notice it. Although I do look at other peoples' toenail polish and I'm a girl.

Also, what is it with miniskirts? I can understand they're revealing with bare legs but I wore one today with thick black leggings (the kind you normally wear with long tops) and I got 3 beeps and 2 wolf whistles on the 5 minute walk to the Tube, then when I got into town, a bike courier stopped his bike to turn around and stare at me?! It's not as if I was flashing the skin - there was less on show than if I'd worn just the leggings with a top. Is it just the idea of short skirts?

I really love in the spring/summer when girls/women put in loads of effort with painting toes, wearing miniskirts/sandals, it gets us blokes in the springtime/summer mood too, and its great after the usual depressing long dark winter. I dont mean to sound sexist, but its just another thing to add to how wonderful it is when spring arrives and everything changes, birds, daffodils & other flowers.

Us blokes i think are slow on the uptake and still end up wearing winter clothes until late spring when its a bit too hot to wear woolie jumpers lol

My feet get cold so easily that i barely ever wear flip flops or sandals or the like!
but i do like to have my toenails painted! i have horrible toes i think, so it helps distract from the horribleness when i do wear things that show off my tootsies!
