There are two stations in Howth showing different dew points, one is 0.6 and one is 2.0, which one is to be believed?

    Where are you? Thanks

4 miles east of Tuam (Choo-am).

Some heavy precipitation showing up on the radar for around here but probably won't last too much longer as it looks to be moving NNE and Galway/Clare seem to be clear.

good stuff paddy1. perhaps you should put some snowballs in the freezer to keep you going if we get a prolonged period of mild weather. afterall there is nothing quite like pegging snowballs at friends in the middle of may:pac:

Ha ha! Only Nacho could come up with an idea like that...:D

Still pelting snow here, temp 0.2C. A large dumping at this stage and roads in my estate are LETHAL. i turned a corner and slid direct into a curb and gave my wheel a serious wallop. everything white and snow is deep. but wet.

The shield failed, just as the metE radar showed it was clearing the S Mayo area, it came down in buckets and is still coming down. Car has a nice covering on it! Can hear it coming down the chimney onto the fire!

Mullingar and Gurteen (Tipp.) both reporting ice pellets at 8pm. I think that explains what we have here, a kind of icy slush has formed on the roads with this wet sleety ice falling. You couldn't call it snow for sure. Roads are very slippy.

Snow intensity picking up a little. One big white whirl out there now. Not sticking as much as I would like but still great to watch.
