Did anyone see the sky news long range forecast for sunday? I hope it comes through!!!!

I had a very strange afternoon in Carlow - went in to the cinema at 2 with son to watch Avatar - came out at quarter to five and the place was covered in snow. Three inches on the car - very surreal.

Going to be deadly tomorrow here - just going to freeze tonight on the snow - and the roads are already slippery.

Beautiful to look at though - building snowmen tomorrow methinks !!!

Had a look at the Lisa Burke forecast! Look interesting alright, especially Lisa Burke Sunday, but, meh, dont believe it. Still nice to see Lisa Burke it thought!!

ECM shows a continuous Easterly/ Southeasterly

Some less cold 850hpa temperatures likely to come into the flow from Tuesday but staying cold really due to low level temps.

However ECM keep us in 850's below below -5c and the low level feed off the continent keeping it subzero and potentially snow early next week.

My father is in the hills near Bunclody. He has about 4, 5 inches, and is snowed in at this stage. He's not expecting to get out for at least a few days.

The Eagle said POLAR LOW!!!!!!!!! yipeeeee wintry showers for the north west and he ever so kindly placed the snowing cloud over my house!!!!! officially excited again!!

ECM looks good for both Sun and Mon - plenty of snow.

Hopefully those in the west / northwest who want and enjoy there snow get it from the Polar Low
