Dashed home yesterday to catch his last few holes only to find Sky had switched over to the US Seniors. Bet they would have stayed had it been Rose or Donald.

Not one person in last few pages is mentioning the weight/ drinking/ casualness or his decline. Either you have it or you dont and to win 2 tournaments he has it. Lets hope two more good rounds and win no 3 is on the way

Nobody has ever disputed that he "has it" but some of us are frustrated at his seeming reluctance to use it, or at least make the most of it. Great that he is doing so this week and we all hope he can keep it up.

They showed his up and down for birdie on 17 before they finished.
Coverage was poor enough outside of the marquee groups yesterday again, If it was coming from the states Sky would be trotting out the line that it was out of their hands.

Oh and a top 5 for Shane would secure his card for next season ;)

He has it in spades, my only worry is the short par/bogey putts when the pressure is on. His pitching is up there with the best, the stroke is unreal.

    Great par to start
2 shot lead now as Thomas had a 6
Nailed it over the pin on 2

Liking his body language even though that was a missed birdie opportunity there.

Wish fellas would stop stirring it, post once in a blue moon just to say I told you so. Childish carry on.

Encouraging stuff so far, great to see.

I fear Donald at two back Bjorn will also be there or thereabouts.

Look I'd take a top 5 finish for Lowry, would be a great payday.

Let's hope he stays in there on moving day.

Given the level he's been operating at for the year huge turn in form to be in this position. Salt of the earth young man who deserves all the accolades he's
    given.

If he could hold onto third spot today it would be a great result for him. Pity about that short missed birdie putt on the 18th yesterday, but his short game seems to be in great shape.

Bjorn feeling the pressure now, follows his bogey by burying it in a fairway bunker in the next...

Going to be a super finish
Hope shane and Rory finish 1 & 2

Hope Rory doesn't get in the way of Shane making a good finish

    Back to back birds!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,845 ✭✭✭soundsham

Crate loads of bottle there for the up and down birdie

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,730 ✭✭✭abff

Unlucky to find a bush there. Double bogey to fall back into a tie for first.

Great comeback with that bird on the following hole, c'mon Shane.

Rory's to lose now unless Shane can hold his birdie putt on 17

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,409 ✭✭✭basillarkin

    Very poor putt

What a putt to finish!!! Fantastic golf! All positives to take away from this week for Shane. Was fighting at the top the whole weekend and nearly finished there. Onwards and upwards.

As Rory is already in the US Open does the spot go to Shane ?
