Back on topic??? This thread has never been on topic!! Ever!

That is if the actual topic is Shane Lowry and his golf??

And the topic should be about Shane Lowry and his golf, constant comments about his weight are getting a bit boring now.
He's a professional golfer and surrounded by a management team, I should hope they are guiding the lad in the best possible way to reach his full potential.

It would be great to see him perform well this weekend. Fingers crossed.

It sounds as if performance on this course for the US Open is a bit in the lap of the gods - hope is suits Shane!

I went to bed just after midnight and recorded the last 3 and a half hours and just finished watching it now. He seems to be playing pretty well and holing some good putts. Very good score in the afternoon conditions. Nice to see him get a bit of TV coverage.

Didn't watch the end of it myself, but a great score for the late start. Probably one of the best afternoon rounds.

more chance of Ronan Rafferty coming back and winning a major imo,i said it at the time here that he was too hasty to turn pro and i beleive this has been proved. It took him 3 or 4 months before he started to do any proper physical training and it was stated in the media(could well be bs)that he was doing very little practice compared to the other pro's.
He'll be running a pro shop in 5 years imo

    There's a good prediction there from 2009

A bit of frustration coming through after his approach shot at 2 there. Can't afford that in a US Open. Patience is key.

Getting a lot of coverage on sky sports. Gone to 3 under now

All the good play from the last two days could be undone here. Needs to steady himself for the last few holes. Still birdies to be made coming in.

Shame about the 14th but he's been playing great. Just caught up to the live TV after recording the first 2 hours. Thought I'd fly through it but had took longer with all the coverage he was getting.

Unreal mid range bunker shot for him on 15. Birdie chance

    Fair play to him.

Fair play Shane, a U.S. Open weekend ahead of you and only 4 off the lead...

And to think he did it by wearing all black, that's 4 shots given away to the field right there ;)

Held it well in the end interesting to see if the lads going out now will do better then the morning groups. Greens will probably firm up though. Michelson and Bubba will be interesting.

Well in the mix and nice to see him being noticed by the broadcaster. Interesting weekend ahead; he can obviously handle this course.

Agree, we got a lot of footage and the wonderful Butch is quite warm to him going on his comments.

If Sky say he's from Co. Louth then he's from Co. Louth. And that's the end of it.
