Think my US 3DS finally arrived in the post. Will know more at lunch time.

Now to enjoy the great games I got for it... Nintendogs and nothing else :D

Why go down the us 3ds route over the pal?

Better games on the us system yeah?

Theoretically better games. The DS and PSP had a lot of very good US exclusives that were nicely importable due to region freeness. Depending how the system fares, the same could happen with the 3DS. So far, it only really has Devil Survivor: Overclocked though.

And the DS version of Devil Survivor is virtually identical and perfectly playable on an EU 3DS, minus an extra scenario. A US model should be worth it in the long run though, will pick one up myself at some stage.

I just don't want to miss out on the Aksys, XSeed and Atlus games and the US exclusives that the DS and PSP got. I'll have to get a PAL one in the near future as well since the PAL DS did get some great PAL exclusives.

It's just better for me, I'm sick of mainstream games and the US gets more niche titles and I can see the 3DS being the next big niche machine.

Aksys is already bringing out a sequel to 999 on the 3DS which has very little hope of getting a Western release.

Also, cheaper games when paying dollar prices.

I just hope multiplayer is compatible with PAL games because there was a few DS games were multiplayer didn't work between regions.

The 3DS is pink. However I'm comfortable in my sexuality and can pull off pink and still look amazing. I'm pretty much videogamings Adonis.

It's coming out on the (thankfully region-free) Vita also.

Tried to limit this weeks purchases.. failed..
Got a Dreamcast from Adverts and a MegaDrive 2 with cd thingy on ebay both at very good prices. Few games for them en-route as well :)

Small eagerly awaited delivery today: Virtua Fighter 3tb: disk and manual only - I'm still continuing to avoid ownership of even one single boxed Dreamcast game! :D

Not being able to save a game isn't fun, though it certainly helps prevent adding to the RPG backlog.

Now I wonder how long it takes me to lose the cap...

Really want a cd thingy for the megadrive. Would it cause a rip in the fabric of reality if I had a megadrive 2 with the mega cd 1?

Multi Mega would be ideal but pricey as heck and doesnt have the same aesthetics as the Cd 1. CD 1 looks the part but seems to be a lot of talk about their fragility and that the CD 2 is more reliable. Pity it looks crap.

I don't think the Multi-Mega is compatible with the 32X either is it?

It is. Works fine with it from what I seen online.

I never thought of putting a brown paper bag over a Sega console until a moment ago (viewer discretion is advised).

I take it that works for the few CD 32X games too?

I think so. I wanted to get a 32x at the weekend but I forgot about it and got outbid. It went for £150 sterling in the end so was a bit pricey anyway.

It'll probably turn up on Adverts next week so for €1500.. Can't believe some of the prices on there..

Keep an eye on that guy. He gets batches of niceties from time to time. I got my boxed Jap 32X (mint condition) from him a few months ago for £65. There was still 25 quid shipping on top of that but, still a hell of a lot cheaper than what you recently saw.
