Reading the Observer heel Sheamus is the backup plan to the backup plan to Bray Wyatt. However Sheamus's shoulder hasn't healed and there is scepticism about being able to heat up Sheamus within a short time frame.

Has lordsofpain.net ran the White/Black Santa story yet?
How low down is a Cena vs Fin Martin feud I wonder

First ever tna wrestling show on challenge at 10

    According to PWInsider:
The latest word on negotiations between AJ Styles and TNA is that they have fallen apart and the chances are slim that he will be returning to the company any time soon.

I really don't know at this stage. When AJ comes back it will be retroactively claimed to be all work most likely

Just watching it now. 1st time Ive seen the battle royal. Remember reading about it at the time.

Mad to think that TNA has been around nearly 12 years.

I've always insisted that first TNA show looked more professional than ROH ever has. Pretty bad show though aside from the six man X-Division tag. TNA will actually be back in the same building in January for Genesis.

Yea it was really a great crowd they had for the first TNA show , if only they could combine that crowd and their current stage set up it would be great

Just reading JRs Q&A blog and he was asked who should the Rock end his career with, he replied he has no idea.

Personally Roman Reigns is the only choice imo.

Roman Reigns vs the Rock at WM30. He gets the big win, Rocky bows out and they shake hands, hug etc.

WWE should hire me as a booker :pac:

Also he was asked about Chyna in the HOF which made me chuckle. Not a hope in hell that ever happens.

Rock would eventually be up for that more than a potential match with the likes of Lesnar.
Instead of the usual dvd compilation DVD for a HOF for Chyna WWE could produce a porno with the Divas. I'd have no problem booking the match ups for that!

I'd rather it be Wrestlmania 31. Give him a years build up first, not pushed to the moon straight away. WWE could do something properly for once and build him slowly but surely. Give Reigns some time to develop as a solo competitor, get him aquainted with the fans more, and give him some storylines and feuds and that will do. At least after a year, we will truly see if he really is the next big thing or a hit and miss.

If ROH can get Styles on a full time basis, that will be massive for them. Along with signing Hero it puts them in a great position to try and catch up to TNA.

Chyna has to be included if/when DX go in. She was a huge part of the original incarnation.

ROH can't afford Styles full time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,478 ✭✭✭✭gnfnrhead

ROH can't afford Styles full time.

He was making about $3,000 a month in TNA. With the amount of bookings he is taking along with the fact that ROH would be retarded to try and make him exclusive, he could afford to take less per booking and still make the same amount at the end of the month.

Hero got a three month deal, they could do the same with Styles. If he isn't worth it, don't extend it past the three months.

he was making 36k a year? no way that's right.

Probably should have done the maths in my head :pac:

It must have been a week, averaged out.

3k a week works out about 150k a year give or take so that seems about right.

When is Stings contract up and how much is he on a year?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,943 ✭✭✭Machismo Fan

When it comes down to it TNA are going to be able to offer more money than ROH. Once there was no real interest from WWE, AJ's likelihood of returning to TNA sooner or later skyrocketed.

Somewhere around February, I think. This year has been odd. He has been involved for nearly the whole year. Usually he misses half of it. If I was TNA, I'd try and get him to stick around until Slammiversary. That's nearly a year of sitting at home before Wrestlemania. He may not be up for a return to the ring after that long off. No point in handing WWE a ring ready Sting two months before Wrestlemania. They wouldnt do that for TNA.

Sting, along with Angle and Hardy, is easily one of the highest earners left.

  • Registered Users Posts: 871 ✭✭✭gerTheGreat

Can they afford to keep him? Surely he only has a few short years left. With TNA releasing a lot of talent this year due to financial concerns surely it's only a matter of time before they have to look at one of those three.

AJ Styles's Anarchy Wrestling appearance which is essentially his home promotion NWA Wildside:

Fairly iffy mic work by AJ here.

From when they were NWA affiliated. There used to be an NWA Ireland too. The NWA tried their hardest to make their titles as respected and international as possible.
