    From pwinsider.com

    http://pwinsider.com/article/49793/wwe-sources-indicate-they-have-signed-ring-of-honor-champion.html?p=1
World Wrestling Entertainment has signed Ring of Honor champion Tyler Black a contract, according to multiple sources within the company. At least one WWE source has indicated that Black will be starting officially with WWE in September. I believe Black will be signing a developmental deal, but I don't have that 100% confirmed.
Black, 26, has been with Ring of Honor since 2007 and won the ROH championship in February 2010 from Austin Aries, He is also a former ROH Tag Team champion.

Black has several title defenses scheduled for August and September, including a defense against Davey Richards in Charlotte, NC.

ROH owner Cary Silkin issued a "no comment" when contacted this morning about Black signing.

-- To follow up on reports from last week about Paul Heyman taking part in a conference call with Spike TV, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports those on the Spike side were very impressed with Heyman. However, that doesn't mean a deal with TNA is imminent or even happening as the last word is that any talks of it taking place have quieted down dramatically. Plus, ratings for TNA Impact the last two weeks have shown increases and the network was very impressed with the numbers given heavy competition from "Jersey Shore" on MTV. There was some talk among Spike executives at the last set of tapings that giving Heyman creative control would be a good idea. Heyman continues to tell close friends he won't be going unless they meet his demands and doesn't believe anything will come of the talks.

A video was then posted on TheHardyShow's YouTube channel confirming the news

The official Syfy website lists Edge, as well as The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio, Beth Phoenix and Michelle McCool, as appearing on Friday Night SmackDown when the program debuts on the network this October.

Regarding Edge, he was originally supposed to remain on SmackDown before WWE’s mentality during the Draft changed to making the Raw brand the company’s top priority. A renewed push for the Smackdown brand is expected this fall given that Vince McMahon has predicted with its move to Syfy that the audience for SmackDown will eventually be as large as Raw’s.

    - TNA reportedly stopped letting fans line up for the HardCore Justice show yesterday at 3:00 p.m. ET as one source stated they turned away an estimated 1,000 fans from the Impact Zone at Universal Studios.

    - Former ECW stars who took part in the Hardcore Justice PPV were scanned for action figures and there was also said to be talk about using them in an upcoming TNA trading card set.

    - Most of the former ECW talent that was brought in for last night's PPV left this morning. However, talent that are still in Orlando for tonight's tapings including The Sandman and Sabu.

    - For those who were incredibly confused by the Raven's lackey character named Lupus on last night's show, it turns out the wrestler who played him was not the original one from the early days of ECW. It was instead played by one of the Team 3D wrestling school

    - Justin Credible was forced to work under his real name P.J. Polaco at last night's ECW-themed TNA Hardcore Justice PPV. Jason Powell of Prowrestling.net reports an indy promoter with a grudge had the Justin Credible named trademarked not long ago apparently. So it turns out it was not a WWE trademark issues as were other names on the PPV last night. Credible was also told to remove the t-shirt he wore to the ring during his match that featured the Justin Credible name and an ECW logo. Were told a security guard relayed the message from the back quickly to Credible to remove the shirt.

Sources in TNA have estimated that between 10 and 15 wrestlers on the TNA roster are considering their options between the proposed Wilpon promotion in Florida and pursuing a potential opportunity in WWE. Mid-to-upper tier TNA wrestlers in that group are believed to be considering WWE, while wrestlers not utilized by TNA are believed to be feeling out the proposed Wilpon promotion.

The recent emphasis on another brand (ECW) over the company's current roster, A.J. Styles recently expressing frustration with TNA decision-making, and Samoa Joe's outburst on TNA staff members paints the picture of a dissatisfied and frustrated locker room.

TNA wrestlers on the roster under the age of 35 are said to be strongly considering their options, especially after being loyal to the promotion during its growth stage and believing they're being passed over in favor of former stars.

Styles captured that feeling in an interview earlier this week when he talked about TNA putting the TNA World Title on Rob Van Dam right after RVD joined the company "from WWE." Styles said in the interview that he didn't understand the decision and said it sent a message to him that he's "just another guy."

Regarding the idea that some TNA wrestlers might pursue a WWE opportunity, Evan Bourne is an example of a wrestler who most people five years ago never would have believed would be in main event programs on WWE TV. Bourne has found success in WWE this year being spotlighted on Raw despite being a smaller, "X Division size" wrestler.

-- According to a report by The Figure Four Weekly Newsletter, the plan for the third season of WWE NXT is to feature four guys and four girls from developmental. This would mark the first season using female talent on the show as rookies from Florida Championship Wrestling.

-- Jason Powell of Prowrestling.net is reporting that a big angle is planned for tonight's TNA Impact tapings in Orlando set to air next Thursday. The angle will involve Rob Van Dam having to vacate the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and a tournament will take place to crown a new champion. The tournament is set to begin at tonight's tapings and carry over into next month's No Surrender PPV on September 5. The belief at this point is that the storyline involving RVD vacating the title is due to his character suffering injuries from the big beatdown angle that airs this Thursday on Spike.

-- A new report by The Figure Four Weekly Newsletter has revealed the actual process of what it means to get a tryout match with TNA. Indy wrestler Rob Eckos, who just recently signed with TNA, took part in TNA tryouts at the last set of TV tapings along with former ROH Champion Xavier which prompted the discussion (although Eckos never spoke of the actual details of the process). The deal with TNA tryouts or anyone who works dark matches who isn't under a deal is you fly yourself to Orlando on your own dime, work the match for free and pay any additional expenses out of pocket except for hotel which TNA picks up. In comparison, indy talent that work dark matches at WWE TV tapings or work as an extra (security or other roles) get anywhere from $200 to $300 per appearance.

-- Comic magicians Penn & Teller have suddenly been pulled from the section on WWE.com advertising upcoming Raw guest hosts. The pair were scheduled to host Raw on September 20 in Indianapolis, Indiana

A humorous look at the current tna angles:
The TNA resurrection of ECW is like the mallard. It was big and brash, and very difficult to avoid. But meanwhile, old WCW angles sneak in around the back, as if they're hoping we're all going to miss it. The Wolfpac, The Four Horseman, The TV Title, The N.W.O. - 4 WCW angles that TNA are trying to recreate, and with who at the helm? Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff. We are literally rewinding the clock by 10 years, just in a smaller venue. Not to mention the old man ramp that they've had installed just so that Hogan, Nash and co can actually get to the ring.

Why don't TNA go all out? I'm sure David Arquette would love a second World Title reign to his name...

    Jtg a gaga fan?!
    Fair nuff..
The following is an article from celebrity gossip website TMZ.com:

WWE Star -- Victim in Lady Gaga Concert Scam

WWE star JTG -- formerly of the tag team Cryme Tyme -- claims some deadbeat sold him fake tickets to a Lady Gaga concert recently ... and now the perp is in for a "Brooklyn-style beatdown."

JTG -- a self-professed Gaga fanatic -- tells TMZ, he went on Craigslist.com and successfully tracked down and purchased two $125 tickets to Lady G's sold out Wednesday night show in L.A. But when he showed up to the Staples Center, the ticket lady refused to accept them ... because they were fake.

Now JTG is on the rampage, desperately trying to track down the scumbag who swindled him -- but first, he wants to make sure the bad guy gets the respect he deserves.

The wrestler tells TMZ, "Game recognize game, so I gotta respect his hustle. But when I catch him, I hope he can respect my Brooklyn-style beatdown."

JTG says he's been power dialing the Craigslist con artist ever since ... but it keeps going straight to voicemail.

As noted before, John Laurinaitis and Dean Malenko ran WWE tryouts when the company was in Japan this past week. Wrestlers who received tryouts were Dragon Gate stars Naruki Doi and BxB Hulk, Zero-One stars Ryoji Sai and Kohei Sato, Kengo Mashimo of the Kaientai Dojo and about five others.
Hulk and Doi were recommended by Evan Bourne while the others were mostly recommended by former WWE star Funaki.
The tryouts were held before the shows started. Malenko and Laurinaitis watched as the Japanese wrestlers took turns doing singles matches with Bourne and Tyson Kidd, among others. Funaki acted as the referee for the tryout matches.

Jake Roberts publicly announced his retirement this past Sunday after wrestling for 2CW in Watertown, NY. Roberts, after defeating Zachary Springate with a DDT, took the mic and announced that while he loves pro wrestling, he just couldn't physically do it anymore and this would be his last match.
Obviously, we all know how wrestling retirements go, but everyone backstage at the event seemed to believe it was a legitimate decision from Roberts at the time.
TNA did another round of drug testing before Monday’s iMPACT tapings in Orlando. Wrestlers received physicals, had blood work done and drug screening. A few TNA regulars were absent from Monday's iMPACT tapings. Notable names who weren't there include Rob Terry, Hernandez, Sarita, Lacey Von Erich as well as Knockout Tag Champions Taylor Wilde and Hamada. At last word, these stars weren't at Tuesday's tapings either.
