Mine is the same but I am presuming that it's because I hadn't already set a payment option .

It appears that there must be something funky with my primary account, because it is the same on my nexus 7 (price in the confirmation pop-up in us dollars) - I tried switching to another one of my lesser used google accounts, and the carrier billing works fine, with the price in euro too.
Really can't understand why its screwed up with the other account, I've looked for every setting under the sun in the google account settings, and they are all saying Ireland, everything is correct and functioning except for that one thing in the Play store...

Ugh, I'm sure I've figured out the problem, and it's with Google Wallet.
My google wallet home address is set to the USA. This cannot be changed, because I apparently have a "merchant account". Some digging has led me to believe that this is because I set up a google Checkout account about 3 years ago for testing a college project I was doing, and for some reason this was set to a USA address (this was before google wallet existed, which is what's pissing me off). Google then merged Checkout with Wallet, so now I have a permanently ****ed up google wallet account. Marvellous.

sorry for going off topic, this probably isn't very relevant to this thread...

what if you go to Wallet & add another card, with the billing address in Ireland, then make that your default card

& why can't you change your home address in the settings of Wallet?

You can change the billing and shipping addresses, so at least that's something, adding cards and changing addresses associated with them aren't affected.
It's the core "home address" in wallet that can't be changed, they just don't allow it for merchant accounts.

Lads we've all been there. You have the day off the next day and you want to lie-in and suppress your alarm in the morning.... but only that instance of the alarm so that you don't forget to set it again and sleep-in. Can anyone tell me if some sort of app exists that would handle this?
Could you not just untick the day and then set an alarm for the afternoon of the following day to remind you to tiick it again for the next day.

That three billing is nice. Can use up the credit that generally would be wasted once the 30 day offer ends! Thumbs up to three !

Not sure about the free credit, but the 20 you put in is all yours to use.

I don't get free credit anymore.

Sure I can and that's what I usually do. It's no huge effort or anything more a mild inconvenience that I'm sure a lot of folk experience and one which could be easily solved. Maybe I should look at using one of those days off to get my hand dirty and hack together something myself :)

I searched and although it's been around a while I have seen it mentioned in here so I introduce to you the wonders of 'Pie'.

    What is 'Pie'?
Pie is a really handy single-touch method of launching an array of commands.

There are currently 2 excellent implementations.

    LMT Launcher
Available to download and install on XDA. Root IS required.

There's actually a lot more to LMT than just Pie Controls such as Gestures etc

    PieControl
PieControl or PieControl Pro available through the Android market. Root IS NOT required.

I currently have both installed on my HTC One (LMT on bottom and PCPro on right) and they are both impressively useful and timesaving. Planning on trailing them together over the next while before siding with one as my choice.

Regarding the second app, PieControl, there is a terrible lag or loading time when you access the Pie Control app drawer. Anyone else notice this?? I'd buy the pro version if it opened its app drawer instantly. No problems like that with Swipepad.

I don't seem to experience much of a lag here. I the video above (and others) it seems to be pretty prompt too. What phone are you using?

BTW it's worth nothing that folks with screen protectors and cases that cover the screen edge may find it a little more difficult to activate pie so they should play with each apps sensitivity / activation area settings.

So far for me, although I actually prefer PieControl's interface, it's LMT that is winning. The ability to use a bottom pie and the greater selection of commands are drawing me towards it.

Carrier billing apparently. I'm not quite sure what that is but I've been afraid to say so. I think it means you can pay for stuff with your call credit. I already have a debit card so I'm a bit "meh" about it all.

That's not the big deal here. Most people on Three on PAYG will be topping up by €20 a month to get their unlimited data, texts and three to three calls, as well having that credit left over. As someone who barely calls anyone without a Three number I usually have that €20 credit left over just sitting there. That has built up over time to about €300, and I am currently, as are others, BUYING ALL THE APPS! :P

Bingo, right down to the accumulated pile of ~€300, I wish someone would come up with a way of paying for proper goods with it though, surely a missed business opportunity...

You could donate to the society of prevention of cruelty of animals etc, enter competitions.

Hate it when I forget to top up, and I`m listening to TuneIn Radio overnight and it eats €40 of credit.

Yes I do, end up donating to Concern nearly everytime Im on the Dart even though I know they'll cold call me at work later in the week looking for more, wish more charities would see the potential in text based donations.

Are you on 3? Ive found recently that 3 have started to just cut me off, previously had the same problem as you, browsing away then I get a text saying 15 quid is gone but that changed in the last 6 months, now its a cut-off, maybe ring them and tell them you want that even though I didnt have to.

It's a pity Meteor don't allow this , would help me spend the credit I have built up .

Ok lads. Managed to enable this, I'm on bill pay unlimited everything.

Will this bill my account, or will all app purchases be free now?

If you're on PAYG, it will be taken from your credit. If on bill pay, it will be part of your bill.
