Free JuiceSSH Pro upgrades until Monday, either here or here.

I've being using ConnectBot up until now, but first impressions of this client are great and I will be using it as my default from now on.

Just signed up for this! I've never considered using my phone for SSH connections in my life but hey it's free! Ich danke dir.

According to Cerberus on Facebook there's a delete account option on the webpage. You can use that, and then create a new account.

Has anyone come across a good SatNav on Android that has a natural human voice for giving directions? I had this on my oul Nokia, so the Google Navigation synthetic voice is a bit harsh on the ears. It does have the advantage of using real street names (or close synthetic versions of real street names), but I'd really prefer a natural voice if possible.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think if you download something like this it will override the voices on Google Nav. It's only a free 2 week trial but you can at least download it and see if it works and is any better!

Duolingo: Learn languages (Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, and English) app, break down into easy lessons, and practice lessons. Very nice app.

Edit: Oh someone posted already, but Memrise looks similar too, except it's not limited to just languages, there's Geography, History, Science and other stuff.

If only this could be used on a Nexus 7.

SVOX works well with Google Navigation. I use UK English Victoria, much more natural than the robot voice.

If you want to pay for SatNav Navigon is very good.

If you have a phone to install it on first you can then back up the app with Astro File manager.

Just copy the back up files to your Nexus 7 then via gmail or dropbox or whatever is handy for you. Click on the apk file and the app will install.

I done it for my Nexus 10 and it works fine, much better than using it on a phone...

Not sure if there's anything specific that would make it not work with a N7 but I'd say this method should work for quite a few tablets.

If you don't have a phone let me know and I'll attach apk here somehow.

I use Sygic (paid) myself. It was one of the very few 3rd party nav apps on my old Samsung Wave (BADA) a couple of years back and I transferred over. No street names aloud alas but they do show up on screen top. I'm sure there's Sat Nav app thread around here somewhere.

    This too shall pass.

Anyone recommend a good alarm clock app which will go off even with the phone set to silent mode?

Aren't there independent volume controls for alarms? And options to "mute alarm when in silent mode"?

Yeah, I can set the alarm volume independent of ring tone. So the phone is put on silent during the night but alarm still rings.

yeah there is usually an alarm volume as well as a media/ringer one.

I use a few alarms (really heavy sleeper) and use Alarm Clock Plus (red bell icon) and Alarm clock extreme (blue clock icon) both have added bits like solve math problems etc to turn off the alarm

I have been using this since Beta 1. It's pretty cool. Chat Head like notifications for everything. It can be a little flakey but that is sure to improve.

From my experience, don't select Google Search or Play Store as apps you want notifications on as you end up getting bombarded with them.

Other than that it is really good.

    Pocket Tanks

This was the very first game that I ever played on a PC (though much more basic) back in 1992 and it's taken a while to come to Android but plays just like the original.
