The MY UPC part of their site is down now they have a lot of work to do.

Value pack will not get ESPN so they will have to add it to everybody else's pack account by account so it may take some time.

Edit I already had the ESPN pack so now it's free nice.

    .

The MY UPC page works, but you have to scroll down the page. They are displaying two bad Error 404 page "headers".

Just spoke to helpful lady there........

Told me that as an existing Max customer I will now get digital plus free on the Max package.......so thats €39 down to €34, if on Select it will now be €2 a month.

Increase will be done automatically on broadband speeds for all existing customers between March and April

Said she will ring me back with regards to my current Multiroom fee of €8.50 a month as its being disputed all morning as new customers get it for €4.25, website says its now €5 yet we are still being charged €8.50 so when she gets the final word on the pricing this afternoon she will ring me back to confirm it

Also told me that under the new pricing I can change my old pace box which is my multiroom box upstairs to a Digital + box for a once off activation fee of €20 and no monthly subscription as it will also fall under the Digital Max + package of €34

    Cheers yom...

Did your billing amounts change (if you check it online) or does it still show the old EUR 39 pr month?

    Can't see that happening.

A lot of things have changed today I don't think we have the full picture yet.

    How is that?

I thought the new pricing structure would change over to current customer as well... I can understand new customers getting nice deals on free Sports for a couple of months free installation etc but when pricing of the core products changes, it changes for everyone I believe

ditto existing customers price will also have to change I believe
existing customers already are getting the extra channels so should only be a matter of time before the price also changes

I thought that the only change would be to the DVR & ESPN. Its just a shame that we can't swap to other deals.

I'm made to believe that you get the same number of channels as before + the ITV's, FX and two ESPN's on top of that. Also you no longer pay EUR 5 pr month for the digital+ hence the new price of EUR 34.00

Please someone correct me if I'm wrong :)

    I'm currently paying 103.99 for:
    10MB Broadband (32) + Digital Plus (5) + Sky Sports (30) + Digital Select (26.99) + ESPN (10) right now.

I see they are now offering for 95 Euro
15MB Broadband + Digital Plus HD + Sky Sports + ESPN + Digital Max + Home Phone + Anytime World

Would love to get that, not interested in the two months free sky sports or the free router or free phone.

You can get the deal but you dont get the skysports you get everything else for 95 so you would pay €125 for that with the skysports

    Digital Max + Sports + 15Mbps broadband = €96

As above, but with phone (and free calls) = €95

I did think Fibre ultimate was a bit cheap!

I have ESPN on top of my value pack and Sky Sports Pack for which i'm paying 9 euro a month

So if I upgrade to the select pack I'll get the ESPNs and more channels for the same price I'm paying at the moment for just ESPN

Unless i'm getting the wrong end of the stick?

According to this Sky Sports is included:
    http://www.upc.ie/deals/new_customers/fibreultimate/

But the first few months it is free, saving you even more which indicates you get the sky sports part of the package for free for the first two months making it 67?

Customer Service told me sky sports is free for two months only if you are a new customer and that it is 30 on top of that  I dunno i hate there customer service

UPC bring a lot of this confusion on themselves, the easy way to do it, would be to list the price for the two months when Sky Sports is free, and then the price when it is not free on the same package to avoid ALL confusion.

Nope, you're right; ESPN and ESPN America now come with both the Select and Max packs.

On the subject of changing channel packs, can it be done immediately once you contact UPC or do they have to issue you with a new viewing card?

just off the phone to a csr in UPC. the additional channels to the itv's are; FX, Watch, Yesterday & Good Food. these won't be added till later in the month.

Sweet... Finaly a food channel and otherwise a nice selection of channels. Don't care for FX and Watch, but could imagine loads of people would.

I'm quite sure I read somewhere else on Boards.ie that Sky Arts, Sky Real Lives and Sky 3 were all in the pipeline as well... This could turn out to be a very happy new year after all as I think the channel line up now seems more versetile :-)

No new card... Updates happen between a few seconds to hours... :)

Setanta Premium is a rip-off, sorry but 15 euro for the very little decent stuff they show is very steep.
