Serious match :cool:, I don't like the Spanish style though, too many 1-2s and short passes, and a lot of dramatic falling etc. In fairness to Italy they have a bit of madness in them, I think they're doing well.

Editaroo: In fairness Andrews got into the right places to make a few chances, just wasn't going to happen for us. The only hope really is for Croatia to beat Spain and Italy, which isn't impossible, stranger things have happened!

You're correct.

But if we draw with Spain, Italy beat Croatia, we beat Italy and Spain beat Croatia, us and Spain would go through.... i think.

But realistically, Spain'll hammer the sh1te outta us.

I posted on Facebook saying that an italian win would be nice, and literally five seconds later the croatians scored.

Right after that result, if we get a draw against spain, and a win against italy, and spain beat croatia it will come down to our and croatia's goal difference.
But if we draw tonight, beat italy and croatia draw with spain we'll go through.

Can't wait for the match now! I can see us getting something from a set play or a break.

No, it comes down to head to head results before it goes to goal difference. If we draw with Spain, and then beat Italy, we would need Croatia to beat Spain, in which case us and Croatia would go through.

The only other way for Ireland to qualify would be to beat Spain and Italy.

Beating Spain and drawing with Italy would also work if Spain beat Croatia...

Basically, it's not going to happen so don't worry about it. :pac:

Trap hasn't a clue, only reason we're in this tournament is because of the poxy playoff draw we got. Being shown up as by far the worst team in the tournament

The ball practically strolled into the net. The defence had picked up a bit just before half time, but they were really lax coming out again.

Spain are an excellent team though, they completely overwhelm us any time we get near their box.

(That's the way newstalk described a yellow card a few mins ago, not watching so I don't know how close it was)
