Same... although I can find it in myself to be happy for Leinster...

Gutted, this means Spurs season is a complete failure now. :(

I know the season is over two week but I never got around to announcing the winner of the C&H fantasy football.

The winner of the 2011/2012 clearasil & hormones fantasy football league is: Seriousfizz.

If people will pm me, their fantasy football names and I will try to put up the full final league table in due course.

Also, after two seasons of running the league. I will be stepping down from running the league from next season. If anyone would like to do this please pm me.

    Yeah, it's not bad.

Ye it's a decent game, but I hope Denmark win, 'hon the underdog!

EDIT: Fair play to Denmark, did well to keep Holland out for the full 90.

Caught the second half, was an alright game. Fair play to Denmark. Absolutely delighted. Still haven't forgiven Holland for their display in the WC final.

Tonight's match between Germany and Portugal should be pretty awesome. 'Hon the Germans!

I can't wait for that, should be some game, I'd fancy Portugal to take it though :p

Have a treble of three group forecasts which could net me a handy 2500, have Germany/Holland first and second so hoping the Dutch can pull it outta the bag! Germany game is poor enough

Terrible game but great chance for Portugal there from Pepe, can't see Germany breaking them down though.

Think both teams just having opening game nerves. Hopefully it'll pick up in the 2nd half

It reminds me of an Ireland match. The better team (Germany) with all the possession and Ireland(Portugal) hitting on the counter most of the time.

I do love German football in general though, and used to follow Dortmund when I was young so hoping for a German win here.

Nothing has changed in the second half. Loved watching Germany at the World Cup two years ago. They were great, not impressed anymore.

    'Hon the Gomez!! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 866 ✭✭✭Palytoxin

The amount of missed chances and bad balls by Germany was ridiculous, great header by Gomez though. I thought it was a pity Portugal didn't grab a goal at the end.

That was a beautiful goal by Gomez. Delighted with the result.

Though, the refereeing in the matches I've seen so far is very irritating.... they seem to bow up for every little thing. Very little flow to the games.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 866 ✭✭✭Palytoxin

They can't seem to help pulling each others jerseys when running alongside each other, for what reason I don't know, and then the ref is blowing for it straight away. I don't think there was one shoulder to shoulder jostle in the whole match at all, actually there was very little physicality now I think of it.

That first half was one of the worst things I've ever seen. Ever.

Didn't even know Limerick had a football team.

Not a great result for Limerick alright, but they made a good comeback though, they were nine points down at one stage weren't they?

9 points down at half time, and then Clare got the first point of the second half to make it 0-3 to 1-10. The come-back was amazing though, while it lasted. Nobody could have imagined it being level going into injury time.

Always seem to have slow starts. Let Waterford get all 7 points in the first half from play last time out (yet didnt let them score anything in the second half).
Just seems to be a common thing.
Great second half performance no doubt (Ian ryan scored like 10 of those 12 points, i think) but the qualifier route is gonna be tough and can they pick themselves up mentally after losing by a point into injury time :/

When the hurlers are going through a rough patch, you'd have the footballers to have hope in. Yet when suddenly, the hurlers are on an up and looking promising, the footballers tend to disappoint.
Oh, the life of a Limerick supporter is tough.

Being a gaa fan is mentally draining. Someone must have scientifically proved that at this stage
