Iceland opened up in Letterkenny in July. It would be nice if they came to Sligo.

It also opened before, and closed again in LK.

going back a few years now but i heard that Iceland were on the tip of a deal in setting up in Sligo and then there was problems with planning permissions or some other issue so they set up somewhere else instead .... could have been LK - in other words LK (or someone else) got Sligo's intended store

I don't see any reason for Iceland to come to Sligo. We already have the Food Centre with better quality produce.

Competition would be a benefit to the consumer perhaps. Same as when the two German shops came in, all the others had to reduce their prices.
