What about those shops buying used clothes in Sligo-this one close to casino and the other one close to Abbey are gone, any other left?

Outdoor wear. Direct competition, Mountain Warehouse and other stores that already sell Regatta clothing (Elvery Sports and Homeland/NCF/Aurivo).

Isn't that shop that's across from the Pandora jewelers in OCS selling mountain and outdoor clothes too?

Mountain Warehouse. Yes, most stock, if not all is their own brand.

I would buy quite a bit from Mountain and Regatta. But only in their sales when they have been heavily reduced. They don't tend to be the most expensive when they are normally priced. Mountain seem to have a sale every other week.

So did it open? Was in town a couple of times today, sign changed to 'Opening at 2pm' to 'Opening at 3pm' last time I seen it.

Lol at the fact that shops call these things "Sales", yeah, cos when theres no "Sale" on we don't sell things.

Up at the retail park yesterday, and noticed that Currys is now re-branded as Currys PC World, but still the EXACT SAME on the inside. Not whilst I bought much in either, hopefully they will do an in-store re-brand and refit as well.

I sincerely hope I'm wrong, but given the timing of the reopening I would say it'll be closed again by end of Feb.

It'll certainly do better than Andersons.. that place won't last another 6 months.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,525 ✭✭✭johnire

    Couldn’t agree more with you.
What a wasted opportunity. It could be so nice but it suffers high prices and poorly trained staff.

They are pure daft, sure the bar is too small for a cocktail bar tbh. They really need to get extension on the place first before they open it!

that place had a fast food place attached to it as well (BK wasnt it - or Supermacs?) and that closed the same time did it?
