that beep beep beep in middle of the track, i have to admit i thought it was a copyright watermark..... loving the drop! really well done and mixed but the beep is just really annoying.. if you really want to keep it, maybe mix it in abt better, take out some of the sustain in it and some of the harmonics maybe....

From about 2 mins onwards the track is great though!

    cheers man
    the beep is morse code,
thought it worked well for the theme of the tune
ill see how to work it into the tune better tho
    thanks

I actually like the morse code beep, although personally I'd probably drop it back down in the mix, add a touch of reverb and tone the dry mix down a bit.
I'd also prefer a meatier snare but that's just a personal choice.

Humble jam and nice to meet you!

    https://soundcloud.com/oscillator3/elementsjam

Massive hardware feel to this. As evidenced by your track image?
Interesting contrast with the reverby synths and more aggressive percussion. There is a lot of low-end going on which gets a bit murky at 1.45 when that distorted pad comes in. Very Orbital in places which is always good though :D

Cheers man, yeah all hardware(mostly eurorack and a poly for the pad) apart from recording into ableton. Just a jam, reverb is built into the elements module and Roland demora giving the other echo/reverb stuff. Nice one though :)

Another jam tonight, looking at the terrible images of Paris and Belgium on lock down, bit sombre.

Some nice elements and parts of the track come together really well. The main keys are just a bit too discordant for me though.

    Yikes! that lead synth :P

sounds cool though, i like the use of hardware, but more balance in the bass would be good though

Flanger is overdone on the vocals a bit. I have no idea what you're attempting to do with the dance element. When it comes in it has no bearing on the previous section and it's implemented really poorly. Sounds like you just cut a piece from another track and just stuck it in.

Early 90's hard trance maybe, but it's in no way shape or form Drum and Bass.

I love this little tune of mine. Not really "dance" kind but it has a nice bit of percussion in the chorus part - again no vocals in this.

Good to see enthusasim from younger musicians for the art :D

Id suggest that you take some time to look more cloesly into mixing, and trying to sample less....nothing wrong with sampling, but you need to learn to walk before you can run, look up lots of youtube videos on mixing (Sadowick productions is great for this)

The videos will be about 30mins to an hour long....Watch ALL OF IT! and replicate as much as you can...this will take you about 2-4 hours... depending on your work speed and knowledge...but afterwards you will find yourself using alot of the ideas you learned and your ear will become better at picking up whats wrong with your mix compared to others.... do this atleast once a week.... take time where you arent being creative but rather being technical....learning the technical side nice and slowly and WITHOUT RUSHING IT!!! will help you in the long run with your creativity....it took me awhile to realise this aswell.

If you are saying I sample, I have only sampled for 3 songs of mine out of around 27 I wrote?

Like here's an original track I want feedback on please

I dont know if you sample or not, but the mixing could do with some improvement, and that was my main point in the post i made above. Spend more time being patient with a piece you are creating and make sure everything is exactly as you want it to be. This form is for feedback, and thats all I was trying to give you, dont take it the wrong way.

The latest track you posted is definitely an improvement on the others... but i'd say you could make it have a build into the chorus part more. distinguish the different parts of the track more...also, mix the bass in abit more, tis really dominating the mix in this case. In terms of structure and use of harmony its pretty good.

Thta's pretty cool. Very old skool jungle percussion which is sweet. Interesting layering it with the acid line. Thought it a bit odd at first but works well. EQ seems very heavy on the lower frequencies. Definitely needs brightening. I enjoyed it though :)

cheers man :) i usually use the same programmed mastering track, which is obviously wrong. My live jams are always far better than what i record, something i am trying to correct.

Any links to stuff you done, i seen a link a while back you posted which was really good, hopefully you get some more tracks up. cheers

Yeah, I sound like some old busybody with nothing of my own to show! I'm going through a fallow period at the moment. Started a few things but just not happy with em. Some of my stuff is at https://soundcloud.com/subbed

I'd love to hear some feedback on another track I've recently finished. There's an old school vibe to this one.

Hey, I've never actually finished a song because I've still so much to learn but I've quite a few demo samples.

That brought me back! Definitely caught the old skool (reminded me of some mid 90s speed garage).
Like the main melody and the shadow bass notes. I think a more organic clap might work well if layered with existing. I'm on the fence with the vocal. I preferred the shorter snippets.
Brought a smile to my face overall.
