seems hard to tip anything this time of year, hopefully pw-e winner tomorrow

Finding winners in Oct is about as easy as April and for much the same reasons, one season ending with mad handicaps or impossible to second guess maidens as another begins with novice jumping. Add in low grade races full of dodgepots and it possibly best just to wait.

Plenty of positives about Greenisland at 11-1
    Greenisland
    2.40 Lingfield
    1pt win 11-1 (general)

Positives for the tough and genuine Greenisland include a best last time out Topsepeed figure, proven form on sand, and a race where she may not have to battle too hard for the lead, writes Mel Collier.

Her best efforts have been when dominating early, and that may have something to do with being blind in one eye. She certainly made the opposition work when a close third in a competitive fillies listed race last month at Ascot, and if anything this represents a sight class drop.

Trainer Hughie Morrison is in excellent form - three winners from his last four runners - and the market leaders are hardly bomb-proof, especially Apple Charlotte who is coming off a break, drops in trip, and has only raced on turf.

I suppose it could win, but it needs to find 8lbs from somewhere to get level with the 2 favourites. Even allowing half of that because it has run well on sand I reckon its finishes at least 4 lenghts behind the favourite.

    unplaced....fancy that eh!

1st (12) Moonlife................. Joint Top rated on 105
    2nd (2) Ahla Wasahl................rated second on 101
    3rd (3) Apple Charlotte.............Joint Top on 105

I suppose you could say that worked out close to the ratings. Greenisland finished 4 and a half behind the favourite and about 9 lgts behind the winner.

Tricky. Rum King was backed from 10's to 13/2 -6/1 but that could have been before the money came for the PWE horse.
Himalaya has been steady at 11/4 3/1 all morning and Haadeeth was only 4/1 in some places this morning.......
Himalaya isnt really the right price to be a PWE horse.

I just had to have a saver on Rum King after that. Support for one of Hannons horses is always worth following.
