Malko De Beaumont in to 12 from 20

The post live reporter at Carlisle said that at 11.59am, but according to Oddschecker it was only 20/1 for a short time between midnight and 2,30am. It was mostly around 12 this morning.

It doesnt look like a Segal horse. It has never run well fresh, never run well of this mark and the main contenders in the race are not full of negatives. I reckon Mel Collier gave this one........

    Your having a laugh mate.

The horses has a very good record when fresh!

The fav steps up in class, and needs to stay in testing conditions.

Is off a very good mark today.

First run in 2008, 6th weakened. 2007 5th weakened. 2006 fell. 2005 finished last. That can hardly be described as running well fresh.

It has struggled since it went up to 124 and has never won of that mark. Its actually 8/9lbs higher than the highest mark it won off.

The favourite has a progressive profile and if he continues with that will take the step up without much fuss since its last run was finishing 2nd in a Class 1, this is a Class 3.

    QUOTE OF THE DAY

“He’s been ready to run for about a month and we’ve just been waiting for the rain to come. There’s plenty forecast and he’d have a good chance on the right ground.” Alan Brown, trainer of Malko De Beaumont

Thanks,My mistake he does go well fresh. I was looking at the figures for each year instead of each season.

Tom isnt actually as good as some people on here make out.

Dont expect wins at big prices daily either.

Its true some people have unrealistice expectations, but who is better than Segal?

The text commentary looks like he was being very unfair on Marcus Bradbourne. The horse was actually pulled up. The horse was only ever pulled up once before and was off for 6 months after that. The only conclusion is he was sick or injured.

Matt Williams and Andrew Barr are more consistent in my opinion. Plus, prices hold up better - which is important if your not getting on at 12.00 on the dot.
