Surprised there aren't many Alfas dipping below the 1K mark. A 166 for €1750 here.

I'm as much an Alfa lover as the next man. But you can't be guaranteed trouble free and cost effective motoring with one for under a grand.

Maybe not, but if people are going to link to old Jaguars and what not, it won't be on its own in that department. Most of the sensible options like the old Japanese cars do absolutely nothing for me.

I guess it comes down to this; Do you want a fun car or a reliable car?

    ...they never came in RHD.........

I worked in a place in the UK that serviced those.........a long, long time ago......with AWD, turbo, a/c, PAS and all the rest, there isn't room to get your hand under the bonnet. A complete and utter nightmare to do anything.

    Bloody lovely, though

Mind you.........if you send an Italian car to Japan, and then bring it back .....does it come back with Jap reliability ??? :D:D

If so, it's the perfect car then !

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

    Wow!

Not too many of them around. Looks rather rough tho. If you had the time to invest, along with the other few grand you'd need to get it back to a good condition tho, its a bargain!

They don't seem to be worth much. A clean one went recently for €1500.

You would get a servicible Capri over in the UK for that money as well.
