A bit over the €999 limit, but by no means over the hill:

    Bargain basement.

I bought a 95 one last year for small money taxed and tested for nearly a year. The wife drove it for 4 months and it sold for a nice little profit. Last of the proper mercs, they really were bomb proof.

Were they made in 96 or did they keep making them in the far east for the Asian market for another couple of years. I was told before that they made them in Malaysia until 98 but I dont know how true this is.

Did enjoy the clatter of the Diesel alright, but stopped idle feels like she's gonna konck out although being idle just a gee hair under 1,000 RMP, just take a bita getting used too.

India until 2000 however those cars stayed in Asia.

I do know the estate model was in production until 98 as the w210 load carrier was not ready. I belive that some saloon models were being assembled from the parts stockpile for 2 years after the official end of prodction and trickled out into the market for up to 3 years after so you could see a 99 plater. Someone may know better.

Yeah but didnt some of these cars end up being sold in Asian markets and then imported into the UK via the grey route.

I guess thats quite possible, the w210 was a dissapointment and I would imagine the slab-sided honesty of the w124 would still have a market. God know I'd buy one before anything they've made since.

Was about to pick up the phone about that lancia, until I noticed it was LHD. Wanna treat myself to something nice for my upcoming birthday. I'm finding the Cefiro too hard to thrash around the place. A rally-bred 4wd would suit better for bombing down country lanes on the way to work.
