If anyone is up for it, a few of us are meeting at Garda HQ at midday tomorrow. Plan is 18-20 miles at around 8 min/mile...

Meno - I will be running around that time and wanted to try a few miles at marathon pace, so this would be handy. So may or may not be there to join you for 5 or 6 miles depending on how my morning goes.

But use 1 second rule, if I'm not there don't wait a single second for me :D

I've been called into work for a thing, so enjoy :(

Since I have been forced to work today, and I have a busy Saturday [will be in the park somewhere between 12 and 2, but wont know until late].

Anyone doing a LSR [or medium run for folks tapering!] Sunday or Monday anywhere intesting around Dublin, any time at all in the day? Personally, I guess I would want to do 10-12 miles at anywhere between 8 and 9 min miles

    Tuesday 21st May
Meet: Marlay Pk, grange rd end carpark
    Time: 8:15 pm
    Distance: 6 x 1K, 2:30 rec
Pace: I'll be at 5:30/mile hopefully, but others can do the reps at their own pace or give/get headstarts etc. I'll have warmed up jogging down there so can start reps at that time.

I'd be on for meeting up in the Park on Saturday morning myself.
Unfortunately Dr.Q would be too fast for me but anything from 25-32km (15-20 miles) @ 5:00-5:20/km (8:00-8:30/mile) would do nicely...
Let me know if that suits anyone.

That's all fine and good luck to you, but be sure to take a good 3-4 weeks off to recover afterwards...and allow me to pull clear of you again!:D

I'd say you'd have a taker there in CL

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,802 ✭✭✭statss

I'm slightly outside your times Belcarra and Running King, I usually hit 8.30-9.15 for long runs. I'll be there Saturday morning anyway.

Statts & RK - I'm sure a compromise can be found here...perhaps run the first half at around 8:30 pace and then kick on for the second half and work towards 8:00 pace?
Statts - you could hang back at 8:30 pace if you like?

Claralara - you on for any of this? You can bring that part time runner with you if he insists!:D
