    High of 6.1c here today. Last night gave a low of 1.4c. Rain/Sleet delivered a paltry 1mm. Currently 1.8c with a 1.4cDP. Calm and some light fog.

    Lovely drive home this morning, clouds gone from most of the mountain tops and the contrast is beautiful. Djouce looks amazing, wish I had the day off to go climb it - thin frosty stuff near the base gradually getting thicker then maybe last 50 metres looks like a cap on it of pure white - lovely :)

    Frosty out, black ice etc..usual stuff these days :)

    No air frost, but ground well below zero and the ice on the pond has increased. Despite the swans, most of the pond has been iced for days.

    Just about an air frost here , just gone -0.1 on the aws. Noticed in the car as I drove south the air got warmer was -2 on the car thermometer in Calary, -1 in Roundwood and -0.5 in Annamoe, usually is the other way round funny enough.

    Stunningly dangerous roads out there. Was raining till 1am, then it froze.

    Took me an hour for a 10 mile trip just now.

    heh,I used do that a lot :o

    Meanwhile..Very frosty here still.
    I'll get my aws back working today hopefully,it's getting an overhaul.

    I'd imagine by the thickness of the ice out there that there was a sub zero air temp last night.

    Thats 0.5 or half a mile not 1 to 2 miles, but on the plus side the Garda operation go flow/no flow/no go or whatever they call it is in operation around here:rolleyes:

    Pipes have frozen. The temperature is still only 0.7C. It's hard to believe that despite it being so cold the rain will not be preceded by sleet or snow in some parts of the east and north.

    Woke up to a lovely frost morning today, was not expecting that at all.
