Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No air frost, but ground well below zero and the ice on the pond has increased. Despite the swans, most of the pond has been iced for days.

Just about an air frost here , just gone -0.1 on the aws. Noticed in the car as I drove south the air got warmer was -2 on the car thermometer in Calary, -1 in Roundwood and -0.5 in Annamoe, usually is the other way round funny enough.

2 hours just for 20 miles this morning. Roadworks, traffic, glaring sun, deadlines.
But a nice frosty, healthy morning though.:)

EDIT. Sorry Snowbie, I edited your post by mistake as I thought I pressed quote button again. This takes getting used to. :o:o

Crisp cold, the frost is disapearing the moment the sun hits it.

    heh,I used do that a lot :o

    Meanwhile..Very frosty here still.
I'll get my aws back working today hopefully,it's getting an overhaul.

I'd imagine by the thickness of the ice out there that there was a sub zero air temp last night.

Pipes have frozen. The temperature is still only 0.7C. It's hard to believe that despite it being so cold the rain will not be preceded by sleet or snow in some parts of the east and north.

Two main problems that I see, no decent subzero cold pool in the midlands to chill this down, and front moving too fast to cool enough before it reaches us.
Its going to be close but no cigar unfortunately.

Do I detect reverse psychology there? You will see a couple of hours snow at your location tonight,I'm certain of it-bar a significant warm pool appears from nowhere.

Meanwhile here... I've got my aws back working again so refresh the imagefor the 5 minute updates.

Well I always did expect a couple of hours snow here, was half hoping that it would be like the October 29th snow and the temp would continue to fall and somehow it would stay as snow until it passed.
The dew point is just weird and even though the temp is risin, in decent precip that should fall back again for a while hmm
    Temp now 1.9°C
