Good good. I'll play this weekend if you dont mind having someone who will probably make every mistake in the book (i remember shooting the cars pretty much every time i played).

Love this game but the guy I used to play with does not play anymore and you need a good 'clan' of a couple of people to get the teamwork going.

Anyone wanna add me, username is 'dave the brave' and will look out for you playing again. am usually on most nights when I get a chance playing either DOD or L4D

The biggest noob mistake to make is to have Marshbabboon or Max on your team and not have them muted

Good GOD. I just right clicked Marsh on the friends list and went "view aliases". It isnt pretty.

Get yourself a Left 4 Dead steam key from www.g2play.net. It will cost you €18 for the "uncut" version, or €10 for the cut version. I've no idea what the difference is. Beats Valve's €30

Edit: google tells me the cut version is the one they sell in Germany to satisfy their ridiculous regulations on gore in games. No dismemberment, less blood, etc. Get the uncut one!

I think the cut version is the stupid German version where instead of blood, a mixture of Bearnaise Sauce and Dandelions spurts out from shot zombies.

Just thinking about the way noobs are afraid of witches. My dad and wasps. He has the 20ft wasp spray, and he still thinks it will turn around and come kill him. Uhm dad, you just sprayed it with 30 times its body weight in poisons. I think you can relax.

There's a config floating around that myself and a few of my friends play where the witch is really nasty but you get a few new people who think it's the same old witch cue them charging the witch with us shouting hold up.

Result = death

"Dam it" is supposed to be good. I wouldn't know though seeing as you cant seem to connect to a dedicated server through the current interface. ****ing game.

Death Aboard is pretty decent, plenty of content in it, gets a bit weird on the boat, but worth playing. The finale exit is great.

Dam It is only one map, and has a quite poor finale, but it doesn't take long to play. It has lots of tanks and witches though, got 3 witches I think when I played it. Some of it looks quite nice (the dam itself).

Just a heads up to L4D players - there will be maintenance on a number of Steam servers this coming Thursday, August 6th, at 1800PDT (1AM GMT) which is expected to last a number of hours. During this time, it may not be possible to play the game online.

Just thought I would mention it in case anyone is planning any L4D marathons.;)

Also, the maintenance will result in the Steam Store going offline along with the entire Friends & Community Network (so all games that rely on matchmaking may not work correctly during the duration of the maintenance.)

does that just effect the l4d servers or will that affect all steam games

if so you can tell them to just ping a command to my client to restart in offline mode
