I never point stock cubes or low low butter or oil etc....just never have, never do, never will. Still maintaining or 1-2lb down a week.

Also, I really suspect (shouldn't say this, but will anyway :D) that alcohol is not nearly as high in points as they lead us to believe. The weeks I drink more and therefore use my weekly points as alcohol rather than other treats - chocolate, cake etc, I am always down whereas weeks I don't drink much alcohol but use the points in other ways, I stay the same.

I know it's easier for me to think/talk like this as I am at goal, but I don't mind experimenting on behalf of all you fellow travellers. :P

I agree on your alcohol theory, for me the downfall with alcohol has to be the morning after binge!!!
I also remember somewhere on boards -cant remember a link for it, that once you have consumed alcohol you body is trying to process it and so cannot cope with food consumed untill the alcohol is all gone, and the food consumed is far more likely not be processed properly and stored as fat.

SO BASICALLY DRINK THE WINE AND FORGET THE DRUNKEN TAYTO SANDWICH!!!

Guys I have my WI at 6.30 this evening and I'm bricking it as I was so bold at the weekend.

I've been really good since monday, tracking all my pp and out walking, but I don't think it's enough.
Such a pity too as I was only 1/2lb away from my 5th silver seven.

    *sniff*

    :(

oh sweetie, hope everything is okay! I dont know what the points for that is...but i say you'll be okay by the skin of your teeth. Hope the news wasn't too awful....When life throws grenades at us...i think all we can do is what ever it takes to cope...i've had more grenades thrown at me than i can count.

Try drinking loads of extra water today...it'll help flush your system out and help fill you up so you might end up not wanting all of your dinner.

the packets of knor curry sauce that you make up with water are tasty and fairly low in points, so handy enough and you would be avoiding the dreaded MSG.
Sorry to hear you had some bad news -pity life cant be straightforward soemtimes.

To be honest, i enjoy my odd good few drinks better with the odd tatyo sandwich or nachos from eddies as the case was in the small hours of sunday morning. Maybe plan for this snack - I know im only fooling myself in saying I wont snack with drink! I had a WW bagel and a big enough fruit salad for lunch and then a huge salad and grilled breast of chicken for my dins on sat, Didnt feel as guilty on Sunday morn! Think of it as a life style change, i could hardly see my self depriving myself of drunken snacks for the rest of my days. Obv now I would have of thought about what Id snack on eg, I wouldnt horse a big mac and large fries! Be good to yourself!

Just been using the treadmill there, havent been using it that much last few weeks cos i've been crazy busy with college work.....i can REALLY feel that i'm lighter today when i was on the treadmill.

The way i look at excercise points....if i've spent some of my weekly points....excercise is just the way of earning them back.....its like money....i spent the bonus points on food...but did 50 mins on treadmill just now....so i've earned 5 of spent points them back....not that i see my self needing them for the rest of the week....cos bloody hell i really dove into them last night.

I've got 22 dailies left today plus 21 weeklies...7 of those weeklies are from exercise i've been clocking up since saturday

I just made this for dinner, and it's really nice, low points and huge portions. I wasn't sure if tinned tomatoes were 0ppts or not, so I pointed them incase.

    Ingredients:
    300g Quorn Mince 6ppts
2 tins of chopped tomatoes 4ppts
    2tbsps Tomato Purée 1ppt
    1tbsp mixed herbs 1ppt
2 beef stock cubes in about 2 mugs of water 2ppts
    2tsps of sugar 2ppts
    2 red peppers 0ppts
    1 yellow pepper 0ppts
    1 onion 0 ppts
2 cloves of garlic 0 ppts

    Method:
    - Fry the onions, pepper and garlic in low cal spray until soft.
    - Add the tinned tomatoes, tomato purée and sugar.
    - Add the quorn mince and beef stock.
    - Add the herbs and allow to reduce and simmer.

I got 4 huge portions out of it. The whole recipe is 16 propoints, so 4propoints per serving. I had it with 50g wholewheat pasta, so 9 points for a huge and filling dinner!

if all else fails one week do a online shop with tesco and stock up like mad on them :) they are usually next to the gluten free ones...have you seen space on the shelf as to where they "could have been" but are out of stock....and if there not on the shelf...if its a small local supervalu....would they order in a few for you?

Was loking for them yesterday in tesco in Paul st, and they had none, nor was there a price tag thing for them. Also tried Dunnes ballyvolane and blackpool and they had none. Where is it you got yours??

On another note, was just in my local Mace and they have the Dr. Otker pizza baguettes, 2 boxes for 3 euro!!

Up a pound this week, (had a huge weight loss last week so not that surprised/disappointed). For the first time in ages, the leader didnt just snap my card out of the machine, instead I was able to stare and process the info on the screen. So im down 2 stone, and only 1 stone away from my goal weight and gold card! I want to achieve this by May 26th, which is when I first joined and all going to plan I should get there. Yay! :)
