When I go to my on-line food tracker I can input a food I want to find in the search box. If I put in chicken it searches all the results for chicken and in the list you will see "chicken breast skinless raw 165g 4PP" Just under that on the list it says, "chicken breast skinless grilled 100g 3PP" If I click on the grilled chicken and change the g's to 165g it then changes to 6PP" Maybe its me and I don't understand who things are worked out as I'm only in my 2nd week. If I'm being "thick" please tell me. I need to get my head around it. Thanks so much :)

    Hi there,
Do you mind if I ask what online tracker you are using. It sounds really handy!

165gs of chicken raw at 4pp is the same once it's cooked as long as you don't use oil. It probably reduces in weight once you cook it but that's irrelevant. Consider you weight out rice/ pasta and point it. Then once you cook it the weight changes but the points remain the same.

I'm using the Tesco healthy living/ light choices chicken breasts that come chopped.
The pack weighs 400gs so say 200gs per portion (big portions of chicken)
I pointed this as 10 pp per per pack so make that 5 pp per portion. i don't think that changes once I cook it. I am stuffed after this amount of chicken so I am sure that 1 breast at 165gs is 4pp cooked also.:)

    Hi autmam
If you have registered and have paid to join the online WW site, then the food tracker is avaliable. Login and click on "your plan" and then click on "pro points tracker" its on the left hand side. It will open up in a new window showing you your tracker for the day. You will see a search box trimed in green that say's,'Enter food, meals or recipes' type in that box the food you are trying to point. So if you put in chicken it will bring up chicken, and any products with chicken in that they have the points value for. Then choose what it is you want, and it will ask you if you want to add this to your tracker for the day. Its a really handy tool. If I have calculated a food label using the calculator on the same page you can add this to the list so you can find it again when you next need to point it. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the advice regarding the chicken (Raw vs cooked) it makes total sense now. I suppose we are all still getting to grips with the new programe.:)

Hi guys love reading all of the posts on here.
I am also confused. All week I have been weighing out 165g raw chicken and pointing it as 4PP. It was only yesterday that I noticed that the same amount of cooked chicken (165g) comes out at 6PP. How does cooking the chicken under the grill result in the same amount gaining 2PP? Does anyone know?

I am also hoping that WW tells us soon how the alcohol is being worked out as for most people we like to spend a few points on this at the weekend!

Keep up the good work everyone. 2nd weigh in tomorrow!! :D

It could mean chicken leg/thigh meat which may be higher in pp. Put in breast and see if it comes up different.

On the online tracker I've found the following:
    Nescafe skinny latte 20g = 2PP
    Douwe Egberts skinny latte 13g = 1PP
    M & S cafe latte large skimmed milk 1 portion = 4PP
    M & S cafe latte regular skimmed milk 1 portion = 2PP
    M & S cafe latte small skimmed milk 1 portion = 2PP
Costa coffee cinnamon latte skimmed milk- primo 1 portion = 2PP
Costa coffe ginderbread latte skimmed milk - primo 1 portion = 2PP;)

    hello everyone,

i've just spent some time reading through this thread and it is fantastic and I can see it being great support to me and loads of others over the next couple of months.
I rejoined ww on wednesday night after 2 years. I'm what some might call a yo-yo watcher been attending on and off for ten years (thankfully haven't manage to keep off nearly all the weight i lost initially. However, I am turning 30 this year and am more determined than ever to lose the weight and start a new decade feeling great, feel healthier and make it last. I have about a stone and a half to lose.

This is day two and I love propoints. Got the calculator the first day and it's a god send. It's very easy become complacent and the new system is a challenge for us all. Apologies, i've rattled on:rolleyes: Just wanted to say thanks for the motivation and well done and good luck to all.

    Tayto Snax pp2
    Tayto Cheese and Onion pp4
    Fox's sweets 6 pp4
Lloyd Grossman's thai green curry jar pp12
    Capri Sun Orange pp2
    Activia Pineapple yogurt pot pp1
Snack a Jack rice cake bags pp2

Oh also - at the meeting our leader said that fruit is only zero points if you're staying within the five-a-day as in five portions a day, after that it does need to be pointed.

The WW START book says a skinny latte (made with 1/2 pint of skimmed milk) is 3pp.

Everyone seems to be doing really well this week! I know one or two people aren't happy but I do think that it takes your body a while to adjust to healthy eating. I binged so much over Christmas and found when I went back to healthy eating I was starving the whole time because my body was just used to eating the whole time. Now my appetite is getting back to normal so hopefully my body is catching up too. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend :)

Innocent fruit smoothies are showing up as 3 pro points a glass??

But because it's pure fruit should it be pointed or
    Not?

Oh Christ, I've just had lunch and should have added it up before eating it!!
Here are some of the points I worked out:

Tuc Crackers (snack pack) - 4pp (And I had 2 of them !!!)
Cadbury's Freddo Bar (Choc, not caramel) - 2pp
Charleville Sliced Cheddar - 2pp per slice (I had 3!!)

I had two snack packs of Tuc, 3 slices of cheese and a bit of caesar dressing. Then I splashed out and had a packet of Walkers crisps and a Freddo bar.
The whole thing came to a MASSIVE 24 PP!! So that's my weekly allowance of 49 broken into by the time I've had dinner tonight! :P
I must admit it didn't feel like I ate a lot but seemed very high in points. I chose badly with full fat versions of everything!

Well done to you too...everyone is doing great this week. I never count my activity points, never felt I needed to.

I can't wait for the weather to pick up...it's so miserable coming home from work in the dark and going out for a walk. At the minute I'm just sticking to the one boring route, but in the summer I have so many more choices.

I can't walk at all after dark on our roads, I'd have to drive to the town and walk up and down it which seems a bit pointless so I try and get out from work and walk around the City during lunch time. You really get used to it, other than when it was too icy I go out in all weathers. I find the afternoon very difficult when I don't get out. I do like the fact that I have lots of routes to choose from, the same at the weekend at home during the daylight hours. Anyway, we can look forward to Spring!!

I know I know! I have similar choices at home and normally get my lunch ready at night for the following day but didn't bother last night and just went to the shop to buy something, but I chose very un-wisely!
Yesterday for example I had a similar lunch with a WW yoghurt and the whole thing was only 10pp. We live and learn! :o

I had my WI tonight and I'm down 2lbs! Really pleased with myself and leader said everyone new on the plan had weight loss. There were loads at the meeting tonight compared to last week. And some of them never stopped interrupting the leader talking to each other and asking questions that weren't relevant. If they gave her a chance she'd have gotten around to the things they wanted to know. Kind of ruined the meeting for everyone I thought!

What really niggled me, and this is just me being b1tchy, is that they were complaining they didn't understand what she was explaining but then when she'd begin to explain again off they'd go in their little gossip group.

But I'm down 2lbs so feck em!

I'm glad its not just me, at my last class there were women that brought their kids with them (fair enough...to an extent!!) the kids were running around the hall shouting and knocking things over and up annoying the leader as she gave the meeting. All the while the mothers just sat and chatted to one another not listening to a word the leader said. so infuriating.

I have one daughter and I wouldn't have brought her with me in the first place (but that's coz it was my outlet for a bit of peace) but if I did bring her she definitely wouldn't be running around...

Anyhooooooo....rant over (sorry...bad day at the office) had a chinese last night, only got a veggie chow mein but feel so guilty about it and it's getting in on me today... my humour is FOUL!!! really need a kick up the backside.... roll up roll up!!!!

Trying to repair the damage today! High liquid diet today! Coffee, Soup, Smoothies, :-) and will have a nice pasta carbonara for dinner.

The whole 150g pot of Dolmio Carbonara Stir-in is 5 propoints

    :(

Don't feel bad...it's done now, so beating yourself up about it won't help. AND it could have been a lot worse than a veggie chow mein! Just draw a line under it and start afresh today. Anyway, there's nothing wrong with a little treat every so often ;)

Have a good weekend everyone :D

How can we point fruit when it has 0 points in it?

    Im totally confused at this

Our leader told us fruit was Zero pointed and can be used as snacks etc. to feel full as and when we wanted to
There was NO mention of having to point fruit at all

    Can someone confirm this please?

    Am worried now:confused::confused:

Didn't get round to asking her that, what she did say is that the amount of fruit allowed in five portions a day is a surprising amount and unless you're eating nearly a kilo of fruit a day you have nothing to worry about.

I want to clarify this at the next meeting but i presume when pointing after the five portions a day you use their nutritional values like any other food.

Some examples of portions, each of these counts as one portion.

Small fruit: 2 or more, for example 2 plums, 2 satsumas, 3 apricots, 2 kiwi fruit, 7 strawberries, 14 cherries, 6 lychees

Medium fruit: 1 medium fruit, such as 1 apple, banana, pear, orange, nectarine, or 1 sharon fruit

Large fruit: half a grapefruit, 1 slice of papaya, 1 slice of melon (2-inch slice), 1 large slice of pineapple, 2 slices of mango (2-inch slices)
