1.0c here ATM. Light SW wind, cloudy.

Overnight low of -2.0c. Lots of hard ice on the roads around here.

What a difference an hour makes - temps up at 2.5c, DP at 1.8c, wind up to 5mph from the SSW. Nothing from that precip band, as it all evapourated before ground fall. I guess it is the warm front passing overhead.

3.3c here now - chance of NO snow I'd say!

Better chance of wintery precip later when rain passes through and winds turn around to come off Irish Sea.

Reports of falling snow in the NE region on local radio over the last hour or two. Didn't see any myself. Maybe it's more inland.
Haven't checked thermometer but I can tell you now that even though it's gotten warmer it feels a lot bloody colder than it did last night. I hate damp cold...

Meh heavy wet snow-come-sleet falling in Dundalk in the last hour, steadily turning to rain. Thoroughly cold damp miserable day. Showing 35F in the car a few minutes ago.

the non-event, in this part of world, is over now. who knows we may get an isolated shower of sleet if lucky:rolleyes:

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,909 ✭✭✭✭Wertz

Sleet has now turned to heavy snow (obviously not lying on soaked ground).
The red and white echoes to my west suggest more to come...
