(News release by NABV. Machine translation by Google, but you'll get the general idea. Lightly edited.)

With the impending national elections of September 12, 2012, we approached all political parties. One of the ideas was to give every Dutch Airsoft [player] an overview, which political parties are in favor of the Airsoft sport. Perhaps this means helping to create a voice option on 12 September. Note that the command to [make] Airsoft sport possible in the Netherlands is already given in the House on February 16, 2011.

    »VVD: Proponent of our sport
    »CDA: Proponent of our sport
    »PVV: Proponent of our sport
»Labour: Proponent if the regulation is properly regulated.
»Party for the Animals: Neutral, deals only with issues having to do with animals.
    »D66 No comment.
    »SP No comment
    »Green No comment
    »Christian Union No comment
    »SGP No comment

We have the parties who have not responded several times and in all ways tried to contact us.

    Kind Airsoft [wishes],

    the Board

Saw over at red-alliance that Izmash have a promotional video for their AK.

*Sees AN-94 mentioned at the end* *Dies* But seriously, is there any legal issue with these in Ireland since they might be made with real steel parts?

the only issue you really run into is when you start importing fundamental fire arms components, pins bolts etc which are oviasly not there :) ireland is not the only country with this type of compliance restriction, so it is something all airsoft company have to deal with, just look at WE and there GBB issues in the US, tbh will be no different to a real sword

    bit rediculous in fairness haha

There's nothing in the rules here to state I cant post Airsoft that is "IN the news" rather than airsoft news. So I am presuming our mods here
wont have any issue with me posting newspaper articles relevant to Irish Airsoft where airsoft is mentioned.

    http://www.limerickleader.ie/news/local/airgun-thief-returns-to-limerick-store-for-supplies-1-4244257

Shop in Limerick got robbed by a known person who was in the news more than once. Bloody local rag could not even get the name of the store correctly when writing the story despite a photo of the shop front with the shop name!!!
also the usual confusion that the media has (when it wants to) between airguns and airsoft guns, despite same paper doing more than one article
specifically on the sport of airsoft.

... so hang on. If it fires below 366 it has to be upgraded to fire at a higher muzzle velocity in order to be deemed an airsoft item. Wonder how they worked all that out and what happens to a Canadian found with a one Joule AEG for exmaple. This is very odd I find

Revision Eyewear (the folks behind the Sawfly glasses) have posted a short clip ;) with ideas for sighting a rifle while wearing a mandible guard. Anyone who plays with a full face mask or a mouth guard might find this interesting.

Tip of the hat to Breach Bang Clear for the video. Spot the deliberate mistake.

Airsoft guns are not weapons. Your mileage may vary.

Damage Industries has developed a Extended Optic Rail for the FNH P90/PS90. It is a Mil Std 1913 optic rail which makes it possible to mount accessories and illumination devices forward of the receiver while keeping them clear of your peripheral vision/target acquisition and inside the natural firing and manipulation positions.

If it's a clone, then it's not made by VFC. It's also not a rebrand because the wood is el-cheapo and looks nothing like the quality of the VFC one. Different metal materials too; the VFC one has a more 'gun-metal' grey finish to it.

Buy the wood kit it is the cheaper version of the vfc :)

And they couldn't put wood furniture on them because?

In any case, wood furniture is not yet available. This assumes they actually do get around to releasing some any time soon. The BAR is heavy and it's long. A plastic front-end is going to be a nightmare when wet to keep a solid grip on.

Nice to see the possibility of finding shorty thompson mags again then since I can't find any for love nor money. The price on that isn't bad considering the original was a doner Thompson and a G&P kit which cost about as much as the snow wolf offering in entirety. I only wish they'd done something else with the grenade launcher instead of just cloning the G&P kit verbatim; the world has moved on a bit from the days of stick Nimh batteries for space-challenged airsoft guns.
